X-mag only if it's a C&C. Standard X-mags are ugly.

I like the looks of the SFL better.

While we are talking about the 2 similar makers....

Do any of you know if the Xmag will have any features that are better or different from the SFL.

Not including the new valve :D
And keeping in mind the promise of free upgrades to the SFL that have been made (if you know what all these are a listing would be nice.

SFL Emag Vs Xmag...... main differences:

1. Milling is different (lol - obviously)
2. SFL version software 2.1 only has 2 modes... Off (0) and on (1)... while the Xmag has a third mode (2), mode (1) is for testing only and (2) for actual use.
3. While our SFLs still have Yellow Pins, Xmags will have switches (even though AGD is nicely modifying our SFLs to have switches now for free.. yay! thanks AGD u da best... I wanna have yo baby)
4. Xvalve comes stock for Xmags... SFLs stuck with Emag Valves... no biggie
5. Colors are different...fades for Xmags
6. Barrels for Xmags wont be P&P Custom Ano'd Dye Boomers like for wut most SFLs had come stock...from what I've heard.
7. Xmags will come with multiple breech modules i believe... SFLs just come with Low Rise.. even though Load and one or two others got custom machined modules for their SFLS

Thats all I can think of for now....

how dare you!!!! lol

my choice on the sfl was this, i had a pore ordered x-mag, and have it now, well rob has it now, it will be sent to my parents then dansim shortly, i traded straightup an x-mag brand new, for a used sfl, a pollished blue to silver faded x-mag as well.

i like the sfl more, no 2 ways about it, it is a secier marker IMHO

to me, it is like doc martens over nike... just fits my personal style

agdemagman69
01-04-2003, 01:18 AM
that and the fact that there will never be more than 50 SFL emags :D

agdemagman69

both the sfl and the x-mag have an ACE

PsychoBaller
01-04-2003, 01:40 AM
Xmags have ACE stock standard... we with SFLs had to wait until Mr. Kaye gave the thumbs up... cause they weren't yet avail to us... but now we get ACE, LVL 10 and the change to a switch (instead of pin) all for free.

YAY! AGD rules... Still having AGD's baby... somehow.... errr.....

you see its all personal preference. i like the look of the sfl better. that industrial look just grabbed me the first time i layed eyes on a sfl at the 2001 iao(where it debued sp?) its like this, industrial over curves. Punk over prep. Doc martens over nike, catch my drift? Thats just how i am, the raw industrial look of the sfl, is just so sexy. Trust me, look at the trade i made, the x-mag is also too plain for me a few curves and thats it. the sfl is milled so much more in the style categorie. look at the top milling on the 2, and you will see what i mean. I hope that explains my stance on the subject.

You've never seen one in the flesh have you? "that's it" I think you just don't appreciate what is there. Or maybe you don't appreciate what 'isnt there'...

I'm guessing you prefer Ricers to Italian motor vehicles also huh? You want sharp edges and spoilers, instead of style, curves and sleekness...

Each to their own I guess.

I like BOTH, and for different reasons. As manike pointed out, they can be compared to cars…. And I tend to like any style of car when it is done right.

Ah, manike, ive Told you before! Its an awesome design, and it is sexy, but to me the sfl means so much more! reserch my first thread, about which to chose, i told you that! Im sorry you took offence to this.

I saw the x-mag, and i was impressed, its just, the sfl has always ben my dream marker, im sorry to offend you like that, and im sorry you took offence to it.

THe sfl is alot like the older mag, not as pretty (in somes opinion, not mine) but looks good enough, and fucntions like a mofo outta hell!

Sorry again to have offended you, i still like the x-mag, but as i said before, id take the sfl any day.

I know you worked long and hard on that design, and that is alot of power to you! IM just all about the industrial look. sorry again manike, it is an awesome loking marker bro!

Please dont be angry- Bill

I know you have pride in that marker, especially that little fillet on the back!

sorry again, i guess i would be considered a flax wench now? hehehe

correction, 50 were never produced, the number was more around 35... 50 was what the projected batch would be ...

Honestly, I feel the same way as SHartley. They're both really sweet lookin' guns.

if I was to be given one or the other, i would have to take the SFL, simply because they weren't mass produced like the X-mag is going to be.

If we were comparing the SFL/Xmag to cars i would have to say: Xmag is like a Ferrari, or Aston Martin Vanquish, while the SFL is like a Semi truck or Lori(for you manike) but it doesnt matter, each one suits someone elses tastes. I on the other hand would live with both, and i almost bought an SFL, but i chose the Xmag in the end.

And for the price in Canada as i have been told is about $2200 for the C&C and $2000 for the STD. that is what i was told and i am not sure. I picked one up from the US and it will be delivered to Skyball.

Any info on the original SFL batch led me to believe that there were 50 produced.....

Well in any case.. that just cuts down the number of Silver/Pewter/Chrome ones that were made... cause I tally up.....

2-3 Red, 1-2 green, 1 Purple, 1-2 Blue, 1 Teal, 2-3 black, and the rest being Silver/Pewter or Chrome.....

phat... in any case...

Well I for one think the X Mag has a lot over the SFL. For one there is the roll pin that guides the valve into proper place and keeps it located properly and then there is the availablity of the breeches that seems to be a problem for SFL users. Plus there is no need for a special version of the Level 10 bolt. Nor any need to send it in for the ACE. The X is a tad lighter I think in the C&C version and its just plain sexier looking in my opinion. And then in the long run there is availability. The X has already surpassed the production numbers of SFL's.

One of the reasons I like the SFL more than the Xmag. That and the more 'industrial' look. I'd rather drive a Hummer than a BMW.

Well you see.... Phil. The Breaches are fine, origionally our breach tester, had his lvl 10 installed incorrectly.. THere fore, we all thought there was a breach problem...

The roll pin, no biggie, i think its easier to slide the valve in, line ut up, and put the screw in, but thats me, there is also a set screw that we use to hold our valve in tighter.

Truethfully, you guys are using the special lvl 10 bolts. Ours are origional sized, for the origional x-mags. Thats the size they were.... THen they redesigned....

Availability.... Ours were the first sold x-mags... we did your betatesting! And i dont know about you, but having something highly limited, that performs the same as your other markers, yet, is special in its looks, is special to me..

Again, i take doc martens over nike any day...
