well i photoshopped the image of the all famous "still as ugly as the sluggo but half the weight" since i have never seen a mag body, would it be lighter?(very fast photosop job, if i have the time ill make a nice version)

theres something like a 3 ounce difference between the sluggo(unmilled) and the emag body...

Stainless steel..
I wouldnt count on getting it that thin. You need room for the detente, and there might be some issues because alluminum is not as strong, therefor it might need to be bigger.

Black Coated Warp right = 8.5 oz's

Polished Yo-Rise vert,
with NW feedneck = 8.0 oz's

Milled FSE-LX {slug}
with NW feedneck
and ball detent = 4.5 oz's

Absolutely and with a little judicious use of a 5/16
end mill, you can take at least 1.5 oz's out of the
E-Mag/RT-Pro rail without changing it's outward appearance.

P.S. The only problem I foresee if you're planning on
turning it to Standard Mag body dimension's,
You'll probably end up turning the threaded part that
hold's the body to the rail almost all off.
It's not a Pem nut, it is machined right into the body.
That's why taper's and such are going to be prevalent
on the slug bodie's.
