Pfft.. 1.5 mbps DSL. Try 3 mbps Cable. I've gotten speeds of 400-450 k a second on downloads before. Haha I couldn't resist.

thats your network adapter. most network cards can transfer up to 100mbps, but i dont think there are any harddrives that can do that.

bellsouth dsl here

download- 1200kb-1600kb

upload-(lowest i've seen it get was 900bytes) and the highest is 400kb but slowly came down to 250-214

that site is wrong about the upload. another site (pcpitstop) has a more accurate tester.

I WANT A T3 CONNECTION!!!!! if only i had 10,000 a month.....

bah my current computer wouldnt be able to keep up :( pentium 3 440mhz...

My work connection is really weird.

1551 down, 5188 up. Why is it so backwards? Is it because most users on teh network are downloading, but most dont upload, so theres drain on the DL while the UL is pretty much unused?

I'll get a screenshot from home tonight.

If your work network is on a web server or anything normally your upload is higher because your always sending files and data OUT to people instead of bringing it in.

Thats why our network is like it is ... the download accepts the connection and the upload is sending the data from the srever to the customer (on the website) so our upload is higher.

Sincerely
Dave K

Here's my screenshot. I've gotten better results in the past, but cable is pretty variable in speed. Also, I have kazaa running, so :)
