Not bad for a '98. What kind of barrel is that?

It's a Tru-Flight 16", As accurate as any $200 barrel out there, for only $22.95, check it out dude

Not bad, you could do a lil' more to it though. The black and silver looks nice though, just keep at it!

Load, it's a 16" Tru-Flight.

EDIT: Didn't see the third post before mine, posted at around the same time.

By the way, if anyone's interested in that barrel, your best bet is shop4paintball.com make sure you don't get the 14", BIG difference

You could get a Smart Parts barrel. They are pretty affordable, and ae seriously the best barrels for your buck. The 14" Progressive rocks. A haloB would be sweet. But the way it is, it's pretty cool (for a tippy, lol!).

hmm.. send it to tippmann and have them mill it (or get it milled yourself) to put an RT kit in that baby, then it will rock.

Nice looking marker. I may be wrong, but I believe all the extra air space is costing you air. Get rid of the expansion chamber and low pressure gizmo if you use compressed air all the time. It just takes pressure out of the tank and starves the gun from recocking. Think about it, and get some more opininons on this, since, like I said, I could be wrong. I don't know Tippmanns all that well.

The low pressure chamber combined with the expansion actually saves air because it greatly reduces the amount of compressed air you use per shot.

mmmm Phizarks! It's like Physics, except you make up whatever you want and it's true!

but expansion chambers don't expand Air, only CO2. THe air in your tank isn't liquid.

OOH wait I just rememberd you are using CO2 and thats just your friends tank. hehe, tippyman is right, expansion and LPR save him some co2.

Why don't you buy a side cover for your Rear cocking or buy the Full Boar Shadow or the Rear cocking one... It's a sweet setup... but you could do more like mill out in between the shark gills and other little things like that... I too have a M98 with a whole mess of upgrades course she's become my back up now that I got my mag :D

uh, dude, its 22 bucks for a reason. if they were as good as boomers, regardless of material costs, they'd be the same price.

I am not a fan of the way Tippmann markers look, but AM a fan of their reliability and durability. As Tippmanns go, that one is pretty nice. Very clean. I would not toss it away, and would be more than happy to use it as a spare marker for when my son’s friends come over. :D

I would get a 12 or 14" barrel there is no difference in accuracy. I wouldn't get an RT kit but I would save my money for a something better. IF you are deadset on keeping the tippmann I would save and get the electro kit instead. The RT is not allowed in some tournies because of its ability to become runaway.

But i'm not gonna leave you alone:)

Actually a boomy costs that much because people say stuff like what you just said, and people will buy them.

Trust me, even if the inside of a dye was slightly smoother(which it pretty much isn't), paintballs just don't have enough consistancy when they are made to "take advantage" of that.

OK, now I see that it's your friend's Nitro tank.

Yep, for CO2 you want all that extra volume for the liquid to expand. But just remember, if you ever go nitro, you won't want all that extra volume. As was stated, air doesn't expand. Higher volume = lower pressure with air.

If you're happy with your marker, then I like it. Build it to your liking and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. That's one of the many things that makes paintball fun...customize and be unique. Don't worry about what people think as long as you like it.

i think of paintball like...collecting some sort of cards..

just as much fun as playing..is trading, selling, buying better parts, customizing it how you like..THEN..you get to take it on the field and cane peeps...

its an endless cycle..and i love it..

(nice gun btw)

You should study T.K.'s actual data on this subject. The reason the barrel costs 90 dollars is becuase some idiot will pay that for it.

At least get a better barrel on that thing. While I believe that Tippmann's are a good starter gun I really have to caution you on sinking too much money into it. Save your money towards a Mag or something.

to whoever said mill out the gills that is dumb it just lets stuff get in your chamber.

Bunny

i think that the milled gills look good. I think its much nicer now that if i chop i dont have to take apart the whole gun I can just squirt water through the gills. Heres a picture of mine. http://www.hunting-pictures.com/members/Rob%20Ballesteros/my%20gun.jpg

Why is there an AGD sticker on the hopper? Is the hopper aspiring to be on a better marker? ;)

I love the barrel... Nothing like getting tapped on the back durring rec ball, turning around and having a 27 inche long gun in your face... Hell you could poke people on the other starting point with that thing
