Kinda high on the price, but I would love to get my hands on those two sets of vents goggles he has.

dear god... this was the equipment of choice when I strted, I think I had all the same equipment in 95. Trracer, Vents (black... only black.... and I never had the whipper snappers), the mag with the coiled line (just like the pro's), I even still have the old hopper with the battery on the outside. Ahhhh, the good ole' days.

I wonder when was the last time that setup saw the field!!! The seller is obviously, shall we say.... out of touch??? Excellent choice of words for the topic, by the way!!

Man, give the guy a break. He pry just found a box with this stuff in it and though he's make a buck or his old stuff. Besides, alost of that stuff has collectors value. Those vents I know go for 50$ each once in a while. The taso and it's 2 freaking guns man. I dunno what his reserve is but I'm sure he could get 500$ off that.

Hmm...you know, I could go home and lay out almost an identical picture;) I have everything that's there except the Taso barrel and my Smart Remote is an older model...when I bought mine in 93 it did not have the wrist safty wire. As for his prices, he is going by what he paid in what looks like 93 or 94.

Comparing it to an RT is a joke - but he is probably (as Jason suggested) going on what he paid for the gun new way back "when."

The Hose trick is a hallmark of tourney players and shouldn't scoffed at - back then ingenuity like that was required to keep markers functioning at peak performance. When you see a mag setup like that you can be sure the guy was a serious power user in his day. There was a time when the 'mag was "the" tourney marker. Hopefully that comes back with the Xmag.

Nope they are Vents Predator goggles. And no longer safe to wear and not allowed at any high level events because the lenses have not been made for years and are now past their safety deadline.

ahhh - my vents.... brings back memopries of the good ol' days....

I really hated giving up my vents, and even tried the scotts lenses for a wile, but sadly - they are gone now. Raven nuvis has the kewl band-clasp, now. I wonder why that hasn't caught on to more manufactures.

Vents were definately the most comfortable masks that I've worn.

I agree with the above poster that the band-clasp seems like a gold mine waiting to happen. Not sure why they aren't made on more systems. Safety concern that they'll come 'undone' in mid game???

oh, sweet memories...

One of the local stores still has some Taso SS barrels w/ twist lock. I know they have the 14" (I've got 2 of 'em), I can check and see if they have 8's. If they do, expect something in the $50-60 range, if you're interested.

I don't know which fields don't allow Vents. I have used mine for over three years now and no problems. Granted, I have not played in alot of high level torunaments but I used them at D-Day, and Shatnerball as well as several local tourneys.

I just wish I could get more lenses out there. Anyone that has thermal lenses for vents that are willing to part with them let me know.:D

You are risking your eyes. It's ATSM guidelines I believe about lense safety.

Even if you find new in the packet lenses they are still outside the recomended 'use by' time.
They apparently degrade over time (especially if they are in use). And are required to be changed each year? or similar.

We seem to be more safety concious in Europe (not sure why?) and people have been stopped from using them at events.

I also know some people who made the strap fit other goggles (but then this is also not allowed at big Tournament series as goggles are supposed to be 'as they come' from the manufacturer...
