There are a few but most of those aren't what your looking for, they're either direct CD copying programs ... or they're not "user friendly" ...

Your best bet is pick up a cheap copy of EASY CD CREATOR or NERO ... and they're bundled w/ most CD writers.

Sincerely,

Nero is by far your best bet. It's very intuitive, and it has a wizard if you need that sort of thing. There are always tons of updates, so you never have to worry about compatibility, and it supports just about every cd/rw that you could possibly imagine.

However, you also asked about DVD burner programs, Nero doesn't do this (at least as far as I know), but then again neither does Roxio(EZ-cd creator).

Yeah I gotta go with nero too. I have an old version, but I remember it was the first program I saw that allowed you to overburn a CD. It was free then too. Not sure what the newer versions are like.

EASY CD is fine now ... there was a patch released a while ago that fixed its XP problems its issues w/ some of the drives out there .. and there's a current patch that add's support for the very new drives.

Nero and EASY CD both rock ... they both essentially do the same job and have the same features ... whatever is easier for you.

I have run them both, but right now I run Nero just cause, no special reason really.

Sincerely,
Dave

Nero owns.

I've been lazy and using XP's built-in ability to write CDs lately, though. If you are just dumping data to a CD its faster than opening a program and all that.
