A halo is force fed too, why not mount it on the side? Is the motor no strong enough?

There's no way to get the ballt to the belt. There's still a cup feed type system. Gravity is still required.

you could get maybe 25-50 balls fed before it wouldnt have any more to feed

The entire point of the no-rise is because it's easier for the HALO to feed with a low ball stack(less mass to move). Imagine having to move 30 balls...;)

ummm the balls kinda need to be at the bottom of the halo for it to feed...

I'm guessing it wouldnt be strong enough, but that would be pretty cool if it was :)

You could however redesign the HALO to do a side feed. The cone would have to remain on the bottom of the hopper but instead of forcing the balls downward they would have to be forced out of the side. Something like the feed system on the Tipman A5.

why would you do that?

The same reason that you would use a Warp feed. To move the hopper off to the side of the gun. Although with the side mounted HALO wouldnt' sit nearly as low as it would on a warp feed so it just wouldn't be nearly as benificial. I really don't see why anyone would want to do it. I personally was just stating that it could be done that way.
