downloaded version will not work unless you have a working cd key, most of which have been blocked

and half life platinum was released in 2000:)

Otherwise you need to download the latest Sierra patch (www.sierra.com) its a number like 1.1.11 or something like that (its not that number but it looks sort of like it) and then you go download DPB and install it in your HL directory. There are TONS of AWESOME mods out there too, once you have half life you have literally years of gaming :) (im not joking, its been 4+ years for me now :))

HPB is a relatively new mod so it needs TONS of polishing and fixing up, so dont expect some retail-quality game. Its still very fun however and has tons of potienial

you can pick up a base copy of HL for like 20 bucks if u know where to look (i.e. bargain bins)

Yes, just get basic HL, once you got that you have every HL mod there is (when you download it - AKA CS, DPB, DOD, TS, FA, everything, HL is amazing to have its like a gateway to many other great games)

the eR33t server isn't full of newbs, they are pretty good...and I was on a good streak :) . It was crazy, cause I hate that map, but once I get used to if I can get a lot of kills.

no, and you can't do it with the retail version of counter-strike either (iirc). you need a version of half life which you goto sierra and patch to the latest version, then install the dpb mod.

the picture of the map.. i've played on it. once. it was ok. didn't like the water part. kept getting shot from in it.. totally couldn't see where it came from.

the DPB main site took down the servers list, and my DPB doesn't seem to filter just DPB games, instead I get ALL games, none get filtered. Any ideas on whats going wrong?

polish, sometimes that happends to me. reclose it, then reopen, update list, and it should be fine.
i noticed if you keep hitting update or refresh you'll end up loosing connection between you and the server info thing, then sometimes it'll grab the entire list.
sometimes i even have to reboot my computer just to get it to work again

I can't even GET the list, I go to the main site, and on the nav bar on the left where it used to say "servers", its gone, I cleared history, deleted cookies, all that and still nothing

When I try it in game, nothing works, I just get the CS list and not DPB, regardless of what I try...
