Uh I havent shot paint out of my micro e-mag yet but I have the stock barrel (Armson) and on my old mag I had a taso pro series, and that was one of the best barrels I've shot. Its for sale BTW..

I shoot Powerlyte barrels on all my guns personally, but J&J and Smart Parts make outstanding barrels too. Much love for the Scepter kit!

Powerlyte scepter kit only. Shoots darts everytime. Used to be a J&J kit which performed great but the scepter is so much sweeter.:D

Alright... for now, I've got a crappy J&J 2-piece, 1/2 SS 1/2 ceramic, but I plan on getting an Evil Pipe. So, yeah I didn't vote ;)

In the past its been boomies and all americans.

On my Classic/RT mag I loved my 14" Boomy .... but the left twist lock isn't carved right and it wont lock into my Emag so I'm using a Smart Parts 14" Teardrop on it right now and its fine (light) .... but once I get my Dye dremeled a bit so it'll twist lock I'll be using that again.

Sincerely,
Dave K

PPS brass barrel on my Blazer

I tend to use my 14" boomy most, but I also have a 14" J&J ceramic, a 12" old school All American, 16" Armson Stealth, a stock e-mag barrel, and 3 12" nickle CP barrels. Unfortunately the .685 and .689 CP barrels are badly corroded and are now junk(came that way when I bought my e-mag) and only the .693 is usable.

an old dye stainless on my classic mag.

I have a titanium paintball 3 bore set for my X-mag (when it gets here)

Jacko Infinity barrel, works wonders with RPS advantage. Bought an Evil Pipe for the day that the ULE bodies for the Mags are available.

Crown Point barrel on my mag, or a TASO. both work awesome
Infinity barrel on my Angel, or a Boomstick or a SS..
I wonder which one I use on my stoker :D

My guns seem to work well with stock barrels for some reason.

Palmer Pursuit, custom made for my minimag. Need to get it back to him for anodizing or something, the brass tarnishes a lot.

14" Smart Parts Progressive. NOTHING but the best for my Mag!! You can hit just about anything you can see, it's THAT accurate. Also, very quiet. For $50, I would suggest that everybody try it.

I use the all american or the stock mini mag barrel. Next thing I'll get is the freak system w\the all american front.

i feel the need to represent the ultralight. ITs amazing light. It shoots better than a j&j two piece. I have shot ultralight, boomer, j&j, and a powerlyte. I pick my ultrligthj. Fits my evil and marbs perfect. I hardly ever get barrel breaks.

Freak works just fine for me.

Sure, it's shiny and a heavy pig, but when the adrenaline starts pumping, I don't notice the weight. Also, I'm a firm believer in matching paint to barrel, not barrel to paint. If you can't go into your local shop and buy some stuff that matches the bore of your barrel, they're not carrying enough brands.

my barrel has spiral porting, 23465 inserts, laser and gps guidance and a built in silencer:rolleyes: :D

by the way my cp was $23...i hope your $200+ barrel kits shoot that much better to be able to justify it
frankly i'd pick up 3 different bore size cp's and take the extra money to shoot 2 extra cases of paint at you...:p

Halliday
03-27-2003, 12:15 PM
There is a difference for me between which barrel I "prefer" and which I use the most. I match my paint to the barrel, and use whatever fits the best that day.

I would prefer to use my BOA 12" Snakebit all the time. I usually end up using my J&J 12" ceramic most of the time.

I shoot a boomstick on my centerfeed emag. On my Impulse I have a dye ultralite right now but a 2003 Scepter is on the way.

Personally on any mag I love the stock minimag barrels. On my DYE LCD right now I am shooting a TI Boomstick. When I get an xmag I am going to put an Infinity barrel on it.

wow... back from the dead, again... :D

hopefully this thread will actually end up HELPING people... yay! :)

if you post, try to include reasons about WHY.

If I didn't say this before: Lapco BigShot, SS. SS isn't really needed, but I think it looks awesome. SS makes it a little heavy, so if you're concerned about weight, just get the normal one. The bore size fits PERFECT with marbs, which I can get for fairly cheap and is good paint. I've got a 12" which is just the right length for me. Plus, if you somehow break a ball in the barrel, you can turn the gun upside down and give it a few shots of air, and it cleans itself after 3 or 4 shots... completely. It's pretty cool, well placed porting although a little loud sometimes.

^ WOW, can you spell d-i-s-j-o-i-n-t-e-d, kids??
Informative (I hope), though.
