i have gotten my X-mag almost completely setup so i though i would post some pics. I am waiting to buy a Red Halo B. I still need a barrel system and i am trying to get a freak kit w/silver annoed back. I will probably have to buy an aluminum back and find a place to anno it.

(Havoc no drooling please :) )

if you want a silver back, get the stainless back, or the aluminum one, and drano' it. it will look just fine, also smokee can put a clear anno layer on it to keep it nice and strong

I had a dranoed freak back that mossman did, I believe, and all I can say is: DONT FRIKIN DO IT!!!
It looks horrible, and sence the anno is gone (on a mag) the barrel wobbles more, and the twist lock is loose.. even when you tighten the twist lock..

Very nice bro very nice.
I don't think I would draino a freak back to much money to dip it in draino

Sweetness! :) Very nice marker you got there. SS back wouldn't look bad at all on that IMO. Don't do the draino thing, I saw personman's in person (heh) and compared to my SS Freak back, didn't look good at all.

Just in my defense....

Yes, draino-ing freak backs will get to look not too hot if you dont repolish em every few months. It's been probably 8 months since we did our trade and aluminum oxidizes. The freka back did have 2 spots that I coudnt get polished nicely, but the rest was a mirror shine (when I did it at least)

Also, I dont believe stripping the anno would make any difference at all in the twist lock. I have stainless steel dye barrels that are loose in the twist lock and the SS hasn't worn away from a little aluminum pin. Also, it doesn't wobble more because of the de-annodizing, the o-rings are what holds it steady.

How much DID you spend on this gun?

i spent $1450 us on the gun and it is a silver to red dust fade. yes my digi cam doesn't do the gun justice. the gun is sweet light especially compared to my 15lb RT classic.

my advice is get an x-mag if you can these are the best mags ever.

what kind of hose is that? know where i can buy it??

the hose is standard steel braided air hose. I wraped it with electrical tape to keep it from scratching the anno. you could also use heat shrink tubing on the hose as well. the heat shring tubing can be purchased at radio shack.
