View Full Version : XRT or RTX?? Need Quick Opinion!!!!
AO,
We are lasering the aluminum valves for the RT's today and I need a quick decision on which logo to go with since we are running out of time. We are now selling the Pro with the Xvalves so we wanted to put the x designation on it. Here are the two choices, please vote above!!

i'd go with RT-X too. XRT sounds like a car or something.

Bah....change that logo ;) Make a large X with the RT on top of it ;)

If you had time, I would like to see the "RT" overlaying the "X". Would look cool.
I voted RT-X

I agree. I don't see the point of having both on one valve but if that's what you guys want to do then go with it. Large X with small RT inside of it is better than X-RT or RT-X.

Of the choices here RT-X.
But I do kinda like the idea of RT overlaying the X outline.

RTX.
Overlay would be cool, but might not look good laser engraved.
The x just floatin' out there looks a little weird...

PS. definately RTX though.

I like Jam's.
I think they both look bad. If an overlay isn't possible, put the RT inside the X.

i was wondering the same thing the other day. xrt does sound like a car and i think the "x" and "rt" should be overlayed or closer. mega cool. RTX deffinately

Jam's, the RT over the X. It kind of keeps a theme going, like the old RT over Automag. If that can't be done, I'd say the RT-X. Granted, both RTX and XRT sound like cars (there was a Cougar model called the XR-7 and you can't forget Mazda's RX-7) but it sounds like there aren't any other alternatives.

ok, a little messy, but I'm not at home yet.
(P.S. This is a quick edit of Jam's pic. He managed to post before I could get my idea up, I believe giving fair credit where its due. :P )

I say change the font of the "RT" to match the font of the "X".

RT-X sounds good, but perhaps a small lowercase rt and capital X?

I like JAM's the best, but of the 2 choices, RT-X is the way to go.
Is there a way for us RT Pro owners to get the RT-X valve instead of an X-valve when we go to buy it? It would look great with my RT.

i like NiteWolf1138's one the best so far
the overlay would be the way togo.....
if not then XRT would get my vote

I also like Jam's (RT overlayed on a X).
BTW, I voted RT-X. I like that better than X-RT. :D

How about the Extreme RT-X Pro with LX inside? will that fit on the valve?

RT-X sounds better... Just kinda like TL+
X-RT sounds more like an xmag w/ a normal rt valve.

I like RTX, but most definately do not like overlaying anything. It takes away from the design and ease of reading.... not adds to it.
Added: But I would make them the same size, not big RT and little X.

XRT is a raio station! 93.1 XRT, at least in Chicago anyways. I say RTX because XRT has been taken. I think Jam's is the best though.

Hobo, I was just going to mention that it was a radio station. You beat me to it.
I don't think that an overlay design would look good lasered onto a valve, so I'd go with RTX.

Go with RTX. What's kinda weird is that with a lot of people here comparing the RTX name to names of cars ( IE RX-7/8) and that got me thinking. If it weren't for the 'X' at the end, if you were to displace one letter over in RTX, you'd get 'SUV'.

LOL, dorkishly funny...but of the choices, definitely RTx. and personally i'm not too fond of any of the overlaying stuff either  .
We went with Jams overlay. There is not much you can do with a laser engraver and there was a space problem. As usual thanks for the feedback!!
Jam you should have email from me.

i like JAMs idea, but put the X layer at about 65-75% so it seems to be a bit lighter than the RT, the model is still the RT so I think it should still stand out, but that is oly my opinion
sneakyhacker420
02-02-2003, 11:26 PM
i think it should say XTREME with RT overlapping it... now that would be cool, otherwise, i would just go with jam's overlay if you have already started engraving them
btw, what text face do you use for RT and the X and whatnot, i wanna help make logos too... but i cant get the right type faces :(
