Duk Tape?

Not Duct Tape? or even Duck Tape as a joke? or even Duck as in to drop down quickly to avoid being hit?

Just wondering. I don't have time to do it, but was just wondering anyways.

Actually, the best brand of duct tape is Nashua. It's the brand my uncle uses in his heating and air business and the same brand that NASCAR uses;)

I've always believed that it was duct tape - for heating ducts, and that Duck tape was a poor pronunciation thing, and of course a brand of duct tape.

Last month I was watching a documentary on the History channel about the development of various tools. They said it was originally developed under military contract in WW-II if I recal correctly, and that it was at first called "Duck Tape" owing to the fact that it was designed to be waterproof and water would be repelled from it like water off a duck's back. The documentary claimed that the duct tape later came as that was discovered as an application for it.

See you on the field,

I didn't see the documentory, but I did read that same thing. I think that was in my book "1001 uses for duct tape" (yes, it's a real book;))

i thought the best stuff was the millitary surplus stuff that you can sometimes find for 10 bucks a roll, that is used as a quick fix to patch bullet holes in aircraft wings.
