Cant get my on&off back on

Ok i was tearing down my mag tonight and i took the on&off off. Now it wont go back on. It wont snap into place like it is supposed to. Ive been pressing on the thing for about an hour here. So can anyone give me a clue here?

Are all the parts in order, like the little diagram on the bottom of the valve?

Have you tried oiling o-rings and whatnot? What kind of valve are we talkin about?

Classic valve. I dont see how oiling will help it. Plus i just ran out of oil. So i gotta get around to ordering some more.

OK, start with the basics. Is anything in the hole that shouldn't be? Are all the o-rings seated properly?

Can you take pics of anything for clarification?

what oiling would do is allow things to slide in more smoothely. the orings would have less friction with the walls of the valve

put some oil on the orings and then try

Make sure the larger oring is installed in the bottom of the chamber, and the smaller oring is installed on the on/off pin holding the complete on/off assembly together. Then a drop of oil and pop it in.
