Just curious how much stuff does everyone take with them when playing. I seem to spend alot of time loading the car.

I usually bring 3 guns each in its own case (main, back up, and my niece has been borrowing one).
Tanks and revys for each.
Freak set
2 masks.
Pack and pods.
Case of paint (more than one if I did the paint run for the guys)
2 of those folding canvas chairs (great investment :))
Small spare parts box
Tools (normal tool box, so technically not paintball specific)
Water spray bottle and shop towels
and a couple of Gatorades.

Is this "normal" or am I over/under equipped?
I think I am over prepared on guns/tanks/revy but with my luck the 1st time I don't have them will be when I need them.

I have a duffel bag with my marker, tank, hopper, gloves, and pods, a tool box with all my tools, and my mask and harness are velcroed onto the duffel bag. It's a pretty simple setup. I also carry my wallet with me for food/drinks, might pack a bottle of water. All of this saves room in the car for passengers! :D

As for you overpacking, I wouldn't say that's a lot of equipment, but it's a good amount, and it's all necessary.

I take three complete gun set-ups and all the spare parts to keep them running. Also, a complete tool box including a soldering gun and solder. Various chairs, stocked cooler with both durring game drinks and a few different ones for after the game ;) . Sometimes my SCUBA tank. Pads, masks, gloves, ect.

Sounds about right.

I bring ….
3 markers, tanks and hoppers for each.
3 masks, 3 sets of gloves, and 3 2-pod packs with pods.
12 or more towels.
3 water bottles
spray bottle with water
tools needed to fix any minor problems with the markers
2 nice folding chairs in bags
large cooler with food and drinks
digital camera
laptop
and maybe some more stuff, but this is all off the top of my head from the last time I went to a public field. And this was all taken in my crappy Mustang with me, my wife, my son, and one of his friends.

The key to bringing a lot of stuff, is to have your bag(s) packed efficiently, and then it all packed into your vehicle efficiently (being a former service member helps ;)). I don’t like to make more than one trip from my vehicle to where we will be set up.

I bring the following:
1 Marker (bring another if I had one)
1 nitro tank
barrel for marker
pack and tubes
2 masks
towel
car charger
allen wrenches
squeegee
and money

That's about it and I'm able to fit it all into one bag (I don't put my marker in it as I just carry it onto the field). I usually bring a change of clothes also, but that stays in the car.

Let's see... I cram as much of this as I can into one gigantic gearbag (Except for the Automag when warped, and the Autococker). Anyway here's the list -

2 Tippmann M98Customs (Even though one's broken... backup guns)
All the hoppers I've got (7. Not all revvys)
My Autococker (not in bag)
My Automag (Not in bag if it has a Warp on it)
Nephew's Minimag (In the bag)
2 masks (whether my nephew is along or not... I bring it)
'Cocker Box (It's got a complete set of everything-tools)
Water and toilet paper (for cleaning stuff)
3 different types of squeegee
Jersey and camo (I bring the camo for nostalgia, mostly)
3 CO2 tanks
2 HPA tanks (in a safer pocket away from all the other stuff)
All the barrel plugs and barrel socks I own
Raven 4+4+1 pack and 4 pods (soon to be 8)
A small pack that holds two 140 pods
Oil (of varying varieties)
O-rings and other miscellaneous parts
Extra barrels
And all the paint I own (If it's hopperball, I'll still bring like 4 cases "Just in case")
-EDIT-
Gloves (a couple of pairs) and other assorted clothing
Digital camera
Regular camera

I probably forgot some stuff.
There are people that give me crap for bringing so much stuff, but then they're also usually asking me to loan them something.
(This year I'm also going to try and pack small tables into my trunk.)

Yup, I take two of everything. Two guns, complete, my toolbox, mask, pack and pods (tourneys I carry a separate bag with nothing but pods...like 15 of em), and (usually) mask cleaning stuff, and a rag.

Hmmm.... Weirdos. :)

I take my micromag, my tank, small set of allen wrenches and such (NOT A TOOLBOX! LOL) and a case of paint. :) All fit in a small bag.

I guess going paintballing for 4-8 hours isn't as a big of deal as your "roadtrips." LOL.

OK, the last time (last sunday), i went to Boston PB, this is what i brought. (note someone was borrowing a gun)

In a backpack:
My RT
Stock RTP
Halo
Freak kit

Also:
A huge rolling plastic tool box. 2 tubs that come apart, each with a little tray that sits on top for smaller stuff. Then its got 2 little flip up tool areas on top. 1 in which i keep bottomline screws and the tools and things I need a lot during the day, the other has allen keys.
This thing holds my nitro tanks, barrels, all spare parts, clothes, etc
Then on the front its got one of those little clearplastic organizer things that i keep all my air fittings, classic mag valves (got like 3, needed 1 this weekend :) )

Oh ya, in the toolbox i had another spare mag, classic with euro feed and no frame (Benchy was in the mail, the boo-yah i traded for was yet to arrive.

Then my mask seperately.

I'm usually in the same boat as you, but i came accross this awesome wheeled organizer thing. Sure, it takes 2 hours to setup, and you can never fit all your stuff back in when you wanna go home, but it still rocks! :)

Thank god I coudlnt bring my scuba or my own paint or I woulda got a hernia before I had a chance to play.

For me, there are really three different situations (generaly) that I have different gear setups:
1. The (non-pump) tourney:
a. Primary marker, and a backup
b. craftsman, pull-type tool box with enough parts to just about rebuild either. It also has various cleaning supplies, spray bottle, paper towels. The box is pretty large and also houses several extra tanks and hoppers and loaders. I try to bring as many extra tanks as I can, depending on if I am driving or flying, so that I can get all the "free-refills".
1a. The pump tourney. - these have been mostly local, and my equipment is extremely minimal. one marker, depending on the tourney.a, dn my SC harnes or my assault vest, and the one tank/hopper or SC harness with tubes and a dozen or 20, 12 grams.

2. The day of rec. games.
a. I will bring upwards of 6 markers, so that I can play different kinds of styles and not get any good at any one of them. :) few semi's, and several different pumpers.
b. reduced parts and tools from teh tourney set. Normaly only one extra hopper adn no loaders (except what I carry in my assault vest (50 round loaders). depending on the time of year, I bring one extra HPA or CO2 tank.

3. The scenario game.
a. I try to bring a subset of my rec. setup. depending on if I am a general/leader or a player. I will try to stick with one to three different main markers, and will almost always have at least one backup on me (typicaly holstered). I try not to bring any extra markers that won't get used, so I decide what I wnat and how I will be playing before the game. SOmetimes this is just a pumper, sometimes more.
b. For the scenario, I usualy bring the same parts and tools accessories that I would for a normal day of rec-ball, but it really depends on how many markers I bring. The more I bring, the accessories and parts geometerically increase.

I don't like being caught without. and I don't have aproblem with having more than enough. The last tourney I was at, though, I had to do some severe trimming of the fat since I flew and had shipped my gear in a box. I still had enough room for my primary marker (no backup, since Palmers were going to be there, I didn't think I had anything to worry about), three SC pumpers (I supplied our team with PG's for the SC tourney), two tanks, two hoppers, my tourney REDz harness and kneepads.

3 People and Gear made the rear end of my Caddy almost drag :)

Everyone brings 2-4 guns and air systems and loaders

I'm usually the idiot that has to fix everything so I bring tools - a LOT of tools

Of course my stuff fits into a JT Gearsack and 1 duffle so it's not so bad - Now if I could only find a way to hook my SCUBA to that Gearsack....

lol,
Man I feel underequiped ...

I just take the basics.

1) Emag and components (air, barrels (2), hopper, mask, etc)
2) 2 Allen Wrenches for body strip if needed.
3) Squeegy and Automag parts kit
4) Extra Level 10 parts if some reason needed

Sincerely,

I like to load as little as possible so I try to keep everything in one box that I bought from Home Depot. Its about 1'x 2'x 2.5' not exactly sure but comes with a pull out tool tray with a tool drawer. Im able to keep my JT slampack with 4 140 loaders, mask, 2 guns, 2 hpa bottles, 3 barrels, 2 Revvys, batteries, some tools, extra lodaers, and some spare parts. Aside from that, a scuba tank, beverages, sometimes paint cuz some places dont let you bring your own and I will sometimes load the paint into the loaders and revvy so I dont have to bring the box. Most places will have spray bottles and paper towels but I also bring some along. I sit on the gate of my truck so I dont need chairs.
Of course if someone is unequipped then I have to bring extra stuff.

Ack, all of you seem to travel pretty heavily. I manage to get by with only e couple things, its just easier.

1. RT Pro Setup (loader and all that trash included)
2. Gloves, mask, hat, etc.
3. AA Toolbox with some seals, wrenches, etc.
4. Dye 4 Pack with filled pods

Thats it, all i carry with me, easy to keep track of, and easy to carry. Its never failed me...

I bring:

1 - minimag
1 - Spyder TL+
1 - classic mag
In my duffle bag:
5 - (2 revy's 3 gravity feed) hoppers (never know when somebody will forget one, break one, etc)
10- pods
1 - Nitro tank
2 - CO2 tanks
1 - Complete tool kit with wrenches, allen keys, etc
2 - masks
1 - Change of clothes, shoes
Various spare parts for the guns (we could build a marker out of the spare parts we have)
Then I bring a backpack and a 'field bag' that me and my 5 friends carry:
Small toolkit
Wallets
Paint
Gun Oil
Rags
My extra barrels
A ton of various o-rings

Between myself and the 4 others I play with we end up with
9 markers, 4 Nitro tanks, 6 CO2 tanks, 8 masks, about 50 pods, a cooler of food and drinks. It ends up filling the back of my friends ford ummm big pickup truck.

Yeah, we travel with alot of gear but when one gun goes down we can fix it and\or give that person a backup. Plus we have people that like to play that don't have their own markers and we can supply them with equipment. It's always shocking to me how many people need to come up to us and borrow tools to fix their marker

You guys ALL carry way too much (except a couple of you). I use the same Jansport backpack I use for school. And an extra marker? Maybe you should jsut invest some money in a marker that works! Here's my little list:

-Automag 68 Classic (Intelli, Teardrop, Nitro etc.)
-eVLoution II and a VL200 (just in case)
-Glasses case with 8 pc. allen wrench kit and a 7/16 wrench
-Mask
-Camel Pack (holds 3L of water VERY NICE! GET ONE! FITS IN THE BACK PACK!)
-Usually only 1/4 a case (500 balls) in 3 pods that I don't carry with me.

This all fits in my back pack giving my free hands to navigate the woods with. My friends and I go deep in the woods to play. One friends has a scuba tank and every else brings their gear in a back pack or a duffel. No breaks, all repairs done with our allen wrench/wrench's water to drink. Fun time. You guys carry way too much!
