I know this has been asked, but I need the sort of "this is it" answer ... and for some reason my search skills are lacking or something cause I cant find the "Tom Kaye" word on it ..lol

The RT valve MAXIMUM BPS .... factoring in real life shooting what "could" it due if someone could hit the trigger enough?

I know that 28 is the average statement, is that after factoring in the bolt moving/etc? Or is that the actual valve rate?

Please, someone dont hit me ..lol

Sincerely,
Dave K

I thought it was 26. Either way.. I would never need to shoot over maybe 10 max...But just having the feeling you could shoot that fast is nice :)

Yeah, 28 is the common term ...

But my question is more of is the 28 a valve limitation? Or is it something to do with the whole bolt/valve setup as a whole working together?

That kinda stuff ...

Dave K

butters has video of 30 bps

yeah, but i dont think he chrono'd it .. so is there shootdown on it?

I wanna know assuming you dont have a limitation of how many times you can hit that trigger, and enough air pressure ... how many BPS could the valve get in reality without shootdown? Factoring in that you have to realize the bolt takes time to move and reset, etc .... what could you actually get with it?

Sincerely,
Dave K

They've tested up to 26 bps w/o shootdown. They are not sure when shoot down begins, never shot it fast enough.

Bummer ... cause I'm really curious on that.

Whats the limitation of the actual setup in reality ...

Thanks ... time will tell I guess.

you probably wouldnt believe the valve's theoretical limit. provided you can get enough air to it.:)

43BPS (well recharge of 43 times a second) :)

Nevermind, question answered ....

The valve will "realistically" hit about 30bps (so butters is pretty much the top its gonna do) ... with moving components/etc thats the limit.

Thanks tom!

Hmmm, I don't get this either: Timmies supposedly have a 66.6bps board; how could they ever shoot that fast if the retrovalve is the fastest one out on the market???

They can't shoot that fast... Its like the Angel can shoot over 20 bps... But they limit one at 13 bps... Yes, some people decide that they would like to brag about that. Its a marketing scheme... They can test it on a computer but on a paintball gun the bolt will not travel that fast...

even if it could travil that fast, nothing can load that fast. even if something could load that fast, there wouldnt be enough time for the ball to drop in the chamber before the bolt slams into it.
