What is a word that means "different from yourself?"
Basically we are doing a paper about hate crimes, and we need a word that encompasses every kind of person different from yourself.
We are comparing hate crimes against people of different races, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and religion. Get the idea? THANK YOU!!!!

I'd say 'alien' is a good choice. From www.m-w.com:

2 : differing in nature or character typically to the point of incompatibility

Sounds like exactly what you want. Good luck! :)
