but i see that was your first post so it's ok. just click "search" in the top right hand corner of the screen and type something along the lines of "mag vs. cocker". you'll find what you need.

First of all, welcome to AO.

The Automag vs. AutoCocker has been done to death.

ALL the following threads are Cocker vs. Mags. I lost track, but there must be over 500 posts.

ENJOY!

Buy a cocker, everyone knows they're better, these guys are
all stuck on their mags. They are afraid to try a gun
that is faster, shoots farther , and is more accurate.

OR! put some cocker parts on a mag and shoot that!

Let's see, there's my grips, my revvy, my barrel, my tank, yeah.

Some cocker parts on this mag.

BTW - I also shoot a cocker.

So just choose one and enjoy it, both guns rock.

or you could shoot a bushy:

Mags are less upgradable than cockers, but mags have super quality and will never stop shooting, and are SIMPLE (and work reliably out of the box for years and years)! With level 10 you will never chop another ball, and with retro (or xvalve for Alluminum[LX+retro]) you can shoot extrmeely fast. Intelliframe is an awesome trigger frame for mags too. Otherwise there arent a whole lot of upgrades, but there isnt anything else to upgrade. Cockers on the other hand are very complex and you need to put money in one before its even reliable (if you get stock). And even then if you dont know what you are doing you will probably break it

but cockers rock in a different catagorey, you can upgrade to just about whatever you want, but TONS of money

Like I told someone about a barrel... try them out and see what YOU like better, if all else fails GO FOR LOOKS! Now if you wanna get literal TONS of money? No. Grams if you measure the 100 dollar bills. Also My friend has an '03 Stock Cocker (green) and it IS a nice gun. No breaks, he knows the trigger (blade) and doesn't use an aggitated hopper yet he still has no chops! I personally went for a mag because I felt I was getting a deal (220 Mag, Barrel, ASA, Nitro Tank) so I took it. Cockers are expensive. I spent about 600 bucks on my mag give or take. Bad buying maybe, but the I-frame, X-valve, new barrel, aggitated hopper all cost money. Also I like the simple shape/look/design of the mag versus the cocker. Both are nice, both shoot well, both this that and the other go with what YOU like, or...if all else fails go for looks. (BTW you are in a mag forum, we trash cocker/angels/spyders/etc.. go in a Spyder forum, they trash other guns, try this: Go to a cocker forum ask them what's good about a mag, ask us what's good about a cocker. Then compare!)
