How much lighter is the xmag valve than the stock emag valve anyway? If there is a thread on this please just post the link.

Thanks

This has been mentioned a TON of times ... do a search.

But I believe its 3oz lighter (lol, too lazy to search and confirm, its early)

Sincerely,
Dave K

It probabaly is'nt worth the move from a Retro-valve to an X-valve but if your trading up from a classic valve or buying new it would be, in my opinion.

I do like mine, though.

LMAO. A paintball weighs about 3g not 3oz!

That would be one crazy heavy paintball...

i heard its a 4oz. difference, which is 1/4 a pound. i dont think a paintball weighs 3oz's...

Lol. A 3oz paintball would hurt like hell to get shot with.

assumiung you could shoot a 3oz pball, at 300fps, that thing would go a long ways! - what's the formula again?

heavy + high velocity = go a long way + hurty lotsy :)

(speed(ft/sec) X speed(ft/sec) X weight(grains) )/450240

30g = 1oz... so if a paintball was 3g then your valve weight difference would be 30 paintballs :)

So if a paintball weighed 3oz it would weigh the same as 30 normal ones... if it travelled at 300fps it would have around 312ft/lbs of energy... since 12ft/lbs is deemed 'lethal' it would not be nice to get shot by one :D

Just messin'

hmmm, a case of those 3oz paintballs would weigh 375 lbs. I don't think anyone would be able to move a case by themself:)

It feels a lot more than 3oz to me. I would dare say it "feels" like it weighs about half.

Three bags of Pot...um..er...well thats a hold over from Friendly Corner issues... :(

Thats 90 grams if you want to stay with Manikes conversions to metric. It's noticable when you hold the two side by side but after all its just three ounces... ;)

Check my math, but I *think* 3oz is a quarter pound (12/3=4, where as 4oz would be 1/3 a pound ;)

how many pounds of force does a normal paintball have going at 300fps. All the math is confusing me and i like math

do u mean grams not grains? and where did u get 450240 from. I'm not disagreeing with u or anything just trying to understand this so when people tell me that paintball can kill u or hurt u bad(its been done, some people have no common sense) i have proof to tell them that it cant

A normal paintball weighs from 50-54 grains approximately. So at 300fps a 52 grain paintball would have 10.4ft/lbs of energy.

I mean grains. It's a unit of measurement commonly used to measure bullets etc over here. It's how I used to measure air rifle ammo, and the same scales are what I used to weight paintballs back in the day.

450240 is the 'fudge factor' which brings all the units to the correct level such that you don't have to mess around with lots of decimal places or conversions when inputting the measured values. It makes the formula very easy to use.

At under 12ft/lbs a paintball can't theoretically directly kill you. (it could indirectly by causing an embolism or something? ) but at over 12ft/lbs it does theoretically become possible.

This is why chronographing your guns is important.
