I was thinking about this last night and if there is enough interest I may do it after the field is open

"Put down your lcd for a pgp three man"

have a three man trournament with a $300 entry fee but with super low paint prices

what do you get for your 300 per team?

we will give you 3 pgps per team to keep after the event is over.

the markers must remain in stock condition until the tourny is over

run it on a supair field

every team plays each other (so you get a lot of field time) (numbers permiting)

give prizes for first to third

and after we get a winning team for the event things change up a bit

you have to play your teamates one on one the winner of the on on ones gets somthing *REALY COOL for a prize

*= I have no idea yet but i am thinking high end marker

I think it would be a fun event to do

let me know what you all think

I think it sounds interesting, I'd do it if I had a team and $300. :) Worth it just for the PGP. ;)

Hmm.. Massachusetts, PGP to keep, cheap paint, 'sup air field.. I'M THERE!! Seriously, I was looking into buying a PGP sometime this year, and getting one to keep after playing a 3-man with it sounds perfect to me. I say run with this idea!

If you do it, I highly recommend offering a 'team placement service' for those of us who are, shall we say, comrade-challenged? I think this will be a unique enough concept that many people who don't do the tourney thing will still be intruiged and want to play. :)

with a cheap paint price and $300 inc 3 PGPs...you wouldnt be able to give a GOOD prize away....not unless you wanted to go in the hole

I wouldn't worry about high-end prizes, myself. The people likely to go for this won't be the people who say 'Nah, not worth my time for those crappy prices'. It's the people who think it's a neat idea, or who like stock-class play. Go for cheesey awards, maybe give a Phantom pump to whoever wins overall; that would be in keeping with the spirit of the event, IMHO. A high-end electro as an award for a stock class tourney? Nah! :)

a field her ein wisconsin did something like that.. cept it was with brass eagle blades.. LOL the all blade tourney ROCKED! plus it was a fund raiser for toys for tots.. they did something like $25 per person and an unwrapped toy, you get a blade, 500 rnds, and 3 or 4 12 grams... played all day and had a BLAST.. :D my opinion is that if you wanted to do something like this, do it for a cool charity event, have fun with it.. who cares about prizes, theyd be bringing home a PGP (which youd spend nearly $100 anyways) and a day of fun..

here are some pics:

Yeah, a field by me did the same thing except with talons. For $30 you got the talon, 100rds and a bunch of 12grms and got to keep the talon afterwards. Then the next time one is held if you still got the talon it's only like $15 to play. It seems like a real cool concept and just a chance to get out and play some low key ball and have fun.

I'd be the first to sign up. I'm sure I could force Lilsnowpixie to play as well.

A place by me in KC does a toys for tots tourney where you bring a toy and $40 total for two people. Its a 2 on 2 tourney where your entrance fee gets you a talon, several 12grams and such .... they are incrediable fun games.

dude great idea but its a bit wierd. i think you would get alot of people out for it and if was run well, have a nice annual tourny BUT dont PGPs cost damn near 300 bucks? that plus reffing costs plus prizes, wouldnt that put you into the negatives?

heck if the grand prize was free nanococker upgrades i think they would have to bump the entery just a bit, but I would do anything I could to go and wrangle up a team there.

Sounds ok but 300$ entry fee is still kind of alot.

That sounds like it would be a lot of fun. Let's see how good we can be if we can't spray some insane number of balls per second.
I really like the playing you own team idea.

That's a great idea. I know that I would totally do it, if I wasn't so far away.

300 is cheap when you consider your getting 3 guns out of it and a fun tourney. But I think you could have just as much fun or more with blades. And it would drop the price.
