I know what sprinting is but are sprints? Like just running a short distance over and over again as fast as you can? What does this do-make you faster?

Im pretty sure its just sprinting in short reps...and yes it will help you get to run faster, at practice our team does all sorts of stuff like that.

trying out for track?

sprints are also a plural for sprint, if you've ever passe english.;)

sprints, in track and field, run from 100 to 400 meters.

this season il be doing mostly short sprints, probably not more than 300.
