That doesn't look like a stacked tube design to me? In fact, it looks a bit Mag'ish. Anybody know what changes they've made to the internals?

theyve pretty much changed everything but the name

They changed everything except the superior range and accuracy. :)

Suposedly, they took out one of the Selenoids(SP?). The origional shocker I believe had 3 stacked tubes (2 below the breach and barrel, and the breach/barrel), and this one only has 2 (Where they hid the second one, I'm not sure).

It's a single solenoid, closed bolt, single bore, baddass mofo. It has a delrin venturi bolt, and a magnetic trigger that's adjustable 4-ways. I've been trying to figure out how it works. My guess is it's some sort of spool valve, like the matrix. But I can't really see how to make a gun like that closed bolt. It'd take some wierd air passages to hold a burst of air like that.

the matrix kinda works like a mag, in so much that when the bolt gets completely forward, an air passage is opened up in the bolt kit, and the air is released, firing the ball.

Long story short, I want one just to figure out how it works...oh...and it's cool

I wonder if it was worth trading my matrix for an Emag...oh wait the Lvl 10, it was worth it

new body on a mayhem, really. not much in common with a NOVA past the spool.

maybe its made better, but its still a ripped off design.

All I hear about them is that they are mag clones or something....that is almost stupid. They arent even open bolt!!! And cmon, they kept all that added range :p

maybe its made better, but its still a ripped off design.

that makes sense since ACI bought the rights for it.

well the matrix was originally and still is marketed as a closed bolt marker because it fires from a closed bolt just like every other gun on the market. My bet is SP is gonna hype it up the same way if it is a spool valve design.

I don't see the similarity to the nova or mayhem

Butter NO ONE that actually owns a matrix thinks it's a
closed bolt marker, we just do this:rolleyes: at the
line "Fires during closed-mode of bolt's travel for superior accuracy"

A lame bit of marketspeak but they are not calling it a
closed bolt marker, because it is not.

I LOVE the new design! It is one of the best looking guns I have ever seen. Maybe because it is magish, but I really like it. I liked the old shocker and I can't wait to try this new one out.

Don't get me wrong, I still love my Mini and nothing is going to change that:D

It would be easier to ask what they haven't changed.

mmm, well there is still an AA barrel on it...

i read the patent, its basically a mayhem with a gas-returned bolt.

ACI didnt buy any rights to any spool valve markers. PGI owns rights to th mayhem design (as far as i know), but they have no patent. ACI merely supplied gripframes and regs, and went so far as to distribute for a while.

Why some people feel the need to make negative remarks about a marker that hasn't been released yet is beyond me. It may be the greatest thing since sliced bread for all anyone knows. Smart Parts has made some great products. The Impulse is a very nice marker. They make some great barrels. I think the new Shocker looks sweet.

im not making fun of the gun, i have already stated it ay be the best damned gun ive ever shot, im just stating that the original, base, dimensions-are-irrelevant design is not new, nor so far has it been very good. :D

yah they pretty much kept everything including the superior range and accuracy (no sarcasm here)
