I play now and then....

Right now I just have an ESP LTD M107. It's simple and easy to play. It also sounds pretty decent. If anyone wants it, it's theirs for a nitro system+reg or something. But yea, none the less, I like it.

well a really nice normal sized acoustic might sound better, but all of my friends who have acoustics just bought mediocre ones, except for one who has a nice acoustic that sounds just as good.

I've got an Ibanez RG170, but I just ordered an RG570, that should be here friday. I can't wait!! I have a really old acoustic too, I don't know who made it though. It's pretty crappy. I've been playing for about 2.5 years now. I'm pretty lousy, but I'm gettin better!!

I got a Washburn AB-30 Accoustic/Electric bass, my dad has a 60's Fender 'Stang, Taylor Accoustic and a Resonator :)

Is that stang a real '60's? My friend bought on and it was a reissue that was just really beaten, it sucked. Anyway, what kind of resonator is it???

Really '60s 'Stang from when he was a kid, all original. Not sure on the Reso, I can snap some pics later, don't know much about them. :)

I've been playing for about 5 1/2 years. I own:

1979 Gibson The SG ( which is currently on Ebay, great guitar)
199(6?) Ibanez acoustic
2002 Taylor 355 12 String
Some beat up classical style sivertone that I found(love that thing:) )
homemade electric strat style
2000 Warrior Soldier/Guardian

I run the warrior, SG, and homemade through this:

Marshall Valvestate VS-100 +
Valvestate cab w/ 4X12 Celestians

Here is a pic of my Warrior down below. It was custom ordered 3 years ago. I have to do some searching or be creative when it comes to guitars because I am left handed:)

Who_311: someone else here likes Gibsons:)

But I guess thats kind of ironic cause I'm selling mine...

(mods, if there is a problem w/ me posting this link, I can take it down no prob)

Still a great guitar, but it really needs to be played by a righty, not a lefty. It rocks. She's a beauty:)

Oh dave, your collection makes me cry. I love Gibsons. How does that warrior play? I played 1 once and i fell in love. My friends thought i was crazy for buying my 1982 Gibson Les Paul xr-III insteed of a new gun. I love my guitars, yes more than my mag.

Fender Bassman Head
Hartke combo

Allamericanmag: How are those Carvin cabs? I was thinking about getting one or two.

AllAmericanMag

Very nice, built like a rock and the sound fantastic. I'd highly recommend them. My brother also uses Carvin cabs, he plays guitar. I don't remember exactly what model he uses but they're 4x12's, he got them with his old Carvin MasterTube head, and they sound great with his Mesa/Boogie Single Recto.

You serious pbguy888? You got any pics? What color? I bet all of the people in this forum that dont know any thing bout guitars are thinking that we are crazy. Hay Dave, howmuch did you spend on that Warrior???

Dave
02-19-2003, 09:54 PM
The warrior was a good $2K+. It's sweet to play...and feels nice, unfortunately Warrior is using cheaper components on their guitars(confirmed when I looked at mine) which makes me sad. I have a feeling that it is not the last guitar I will own, but still, very sweet.

you guys should check out www.edromanguitars.com if your tired of just seeing blah instruments...it's almost all dedicated to the underground custom instruments out there, and is one of, if not the, best guitar webpage.

a grand concert? i think it was about 700$-750$ and the list is around 800$, did you get yours used? if not thats a really good deal.

He might have gotten one of those "cheaper" martins. They play just as good as the really super nice ones, just they are cheaper, i am thinking of getting the dx-1 or something like that. I cant remember exactly.

petefol
02-20-2003, 05:20 PM
well, i wouldnt say any martin is "cheap", since there all so nice, but the grand concert is one of the less expensive ones.

who_311
02-20-2003, 05:23 PM
I didn't mean cheap as in cheaply made or cheap as in price, they are mostly all to steep for me. But i just meant relativly cheap compared to most martins. I am sorry if i caused any confusion.

Whoa! I forgot about this one! I got the price break because it was my friend's last day at the guitar center. He gave up his commision and he gave me a NICE discount. All and all, it ended up being a couple bucks over $600! I was happy :)
