Hey guys, I'm selling off my shocker, it just isn't me at all, only have huge barrels is one thing, but not being able to use my hp max-flo kills me. So I'm selling it to a buddy of mine for 350, was looking into buying a 2k3 stock cocker or maybe like a Timmy or something priced around there.

Or I could just get his 2 1998 cockers and give him the shocker.

Looked into the Impulse but it's operating pressure is that of a shocker, so no hp max-flo=not an option. I'm starting with 350, and might buy one used, so I'm topping out the fund at about $500-600.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Id say get an 2k3 cocker with a new trigger frame and whatever other upgrades you can afford

Umm, why not just get the LP spring pack for the Max-Flo?

Go with a bushy for the price. You can find a used one no prob and they are very dependable guns. A new top of the line one is about 550, and well worht it. The new ones have a great anti chop eye, and are very very fast guns.

I have the mid-pressure spring, it comes witha hp max-flo, but the lp spring and mid/high pressure springs aren't interchangeable.

The lp Max-flo's are hollowed out more and a lp spring can't fit in a hp reg, and a hp spring won't sit right in a lp max-flo.

I say go with a new impy for 400...they are fantastic, and there is no way you will find a classic timmy for under 400....I sold mine for 500...

I would actually like to buy a impulse, however if you read the above thread, I would have to run it on CO2, which I have a great distaste for, because it runs on lp, and I don't have a lp tank, and no my tank can't be brought down to lp with a different spring.

If I were to use the hp max-flo anyway, it would be regulated down using the guns max-flo reg, however if I tried to shoot more than about 3-4 balls per second, the gun would starve.

So your basing your gun buying on an accessory of a gun? Why not sell the max-flo and buy a gun you WANT not get a gun because of the max-flo

I just bought the max-flo last fall, paind 430 for it, so I'm kinda attached to it, that and the fact that I have my lvl 10 mag to use the max-flo with. I wanted to be able to use my tank on both guns. The only way I could grab down an impulse is to maybe get a lp crossfire tank or something, but then I would have to find a good deal on the tank and pulse.

Well, unless you wanna risk buying used, your not gonna find a timmy for that price range. I say go for the cocker, get yourself an eclipse hinge frame, palmer rock and maybe a barrel set or something.

On that note, should I get the 2 used 98 cockers, and sell them? will I be able to get more than 350 for them, mostly stock, new bolt, I think one has a new valve, or should I sell off the shocker and go for the 2k3 with the stock hinge frame.

888paintball has new cockers for 250, and a henge is like 100 and some, or i think you buy the cocker with a henge for around 360, that may be your best bet, plus with 888 if you call in the order you get free 2day shipping which is sweet.

hey man, whats up? anyways, don't get the 2 1998 cockers, you'll never be able to sell them, atleats on here, just go for the 2k3 cocker and it alreadt comes witha hinge on it.

Get the smart parts impulse. Good price about 400 bucks and nice short pull.

If one more person recommends and impulse, it would be awesome if they know of some place I can get a cheap lp tank, I found a 45/45 crossfire lp screw-in on pbgear.com for 189.00, however that means I'll hit near 600, when I can start looking at basic used Timmy's around 600. The 2k3 cocker looks good, but I just have to get my buddy to sell off his 2 98's on ebay or something and hopefully get 350 for them.

Dude, you serious? What kind of impy, did it start as a stock impy or not? Because I would def. get one if I could run it off like 400-800 psi but I figured since it says on the smart parts site that it runs off of 180 psi that it would operate like my shocker did. On the shocker if I ran over 300psi into it I could shoot like 3 times then I would get massive shootdown.
