hey so heres the littly scoop on the AO event.

i talked to LT last night and most likely the only way we will get an AO day together at sams (like a huge official one) is if we all POLITELY send Nikki and E-Mail asking her about the event.

something along the lines of... "i heard there may be an Automags.org event coming up in the near future. and i was just wondering as to when this event will be held" see its nice and comprehendable. but you can all write what ever you want in your emails. LT said the more emails we get sent most likely Nikki will listen

We didnt do too well... We won 1 game all day, but got a crap load of elims.. though that dont mean much when you try doing 1 on 3-4's a lot, which was what it came down to a few times... Most of us were hungover or running on 1 hour of sleep or both...... :D

Boom did well though (my home field team). We stayed and watched finals and i taped their last 2 games....

edit> though my breaks wern't too shabby... usually laned a guy out. :D

I am hoping to get back into the sport in another year. I am taking next year to tour the country playing some bigger disc golf events. I am looking to turn pro in 06' depending how I play. By then I should be about done with college and making some kind of living. A living that can afford to have some fun playing ball again.

I come around just to see whats new in paintball and it just seems nothing really changes much anymore. The markers are still overpriced, the younger ballers are still very immature, too many kids getting it handed to them on a silver platter... same old :) I just know that some of the best people I have met have been through paintball. Its the same feeling I get meeting new people on tour playing disc golf.

Maybe I will try to make big game 2 that would be fun. I probably have a pump sitting around or I am sure someone could hook me up. Have to see what my calender looks like.

Looking to start a team to compete in the CPSA series of tournaments under the novice division next year possible. Want to get a 5man together sometime this winter and just looking to have some fun playing again next year, winning is just a bonus.

Preferably looking for anyone that wants to play tournaments and will stick with it. Not necessarily going to play every event if money is an issue because I can relate on that subject. Age is not really that important but preferably 17 and older would be good, able to have own transportation to any practices or just getting together to get to know each other.

Also I am not trying to "run" a team either so its going to just be a team effort to keep together and have fun, no big egos in the group. Anyone interested let me know maybe we can discuss the options at the big game. Just thought I would throw out the idea, it might work it might fall through but at least i can give it a try.

Yeah, looks like I missed out on all of the good old times. Just wanted to say hello, my name is John and I am a Wisconsin Automag Fanatic. It's been a while and I'm a bit out of touch with the community but am really looking forward to next year/season. My 68 classic was purchased from Apoc way back when ('96 I believe). I played extensively through 2000 until a new job and an old nag threw a wrench in my favorite pasttime. Much of my last playing years were spent at the Edge in jainesville where I found out that tournament players aren't all dicks. Talkin' smack is one thing, never quite understood the "thou art" angle. My paint breaks the same no matter what gear you have, nuff said in my opinion. Met a lot of cool people and enjoyed the sport beyond anything else I've done. So here I am, lonely (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) and gettin' ready for a comeback tour. I'm still in MadTown and plan to stay for a while longer. Werd up to the Wisconsin Crew, 110+ is a pretty strong number. Later!

Well it looks like siege in muk town is going to field paint only now. With the opening up of their new indoor airball field they need to recoup some of their money. From what i heard the new field is amazing. I believe it is upstairs now and they have turf in there so no more sliding. I think im gonna have to get out there and dominate everyone with my phantom :D

I played at siege like a week ago. They now have sup-air and turf upstairs where the hyperball was. Its Amazing. :D

Any one here play at Promised Land Paintball in Wilmot? The powers that be at my work decide to go here rather than Sam's this weekend for whatever reason. I just want to get an idea of how the place is run and what the fields are like. The pictures on the website really dont show too much.

I've been to promised land. It was pretty fun the time I went. A lot of interesting scenarios...no HPA is a negative though. And from what I hear they look more down not on what you wear or use, but rather how you ACT. They don't want a bunch of jerks going in there and making it not fun for the newbs...because that is what they like the most. Newbs.

They dont fill nitro.. :( I went there with my church once and i used my mag and a tank that i had filled before playing. I got like 3 games in with it and just dominated the field. It was really unfair since everyone was using just rentals.

Daves is not that bad. i think 60 a case is what we paid for last year. Though the paint at his fall free for all sucked. Kept it in his trailer all night and all day it was break after break for everone out there. Iam refering to splat camp and not his indoor warehouse

I liked it back in the day when Dave would raffle off a new RT at his big scenario game every year.

85 total is not that bad

maybe 5-15 bucks higher than what it is now at Apoc and Stalker with what you have listed. You would have loved the 100 dollar a case days. Well you still can if you go to Sams, that is nuts.
