LOL, this caught us unprepared:eek:! We have nothing to keep us warm enough we never expected for it to get in the 20's here:rolleyes:! People in Texas dont buy winter gloves or anything:o ! I dont think you can even BUY winter gloves here:p! (excuse the sillyness, this is the first time I've EVER in my life seen snow:))

I know is snows a good deal in North Tx(much less everywhere else), so I thought I'd post a few pics of our current situation in central Tx. for everyone to make fun of:( :o.

(these pics are of when it had just started, we'll get some more later:))

For awhile back in the beginning of Feb, it was so cold in southeastern Wisconsin, it wouldn't even snow. It was like -30 with wind chill, or something like that. Man, 20 degrees is T-Shirt weather for me!! ;)

Nice jeep. I know what you mean. It probably gets colder here, but it never snows (well, it did when I was 10, but that was a LONG time ago).

We can buy gloves as the mountains aren't that far away (need 'em to go sking). :D

Cool huh? ;)

Hey, all you Texans are acting like you're cold. We (in the east) got hit with a blizzard last week, almost 2 feet in some parts of CT.

Well, enjoy the snow while you can, and be safe on the roads. :)

Capo, nice Jeep!

Thanks :)

Well it's the closest thing to "snow" that this area has gotten so it's nifty. I prefer warmth, though!

Nice Jeep Capo. Is it a Laredo or Limited? Also did you do any mods? I was going to get one, a Laredo, but interior was just alittle to small for my needs and went for an Explorer. It had the interior space I needed for my job and couldn't pass up a 1.9% financing, $2k off the sticker price, and $2k trade-in for my Saturn SL2.

Don't you need a passport to get into Texas? :)

My friend told me a few years back how the state of Georgia got about .25" of snow and they shut everything down. lol

I'd like to move down near Texas or Arizona when I'm super old. I'm not a fan of pants. :)

But I also like snow. Are you serious that this is the first snow you have ever experienced!?!?!?!!??!?!

You call that snow? LOL!

We received 20+ inches last week. What's worse is that your storm is on it's way to the north east. We will get hit this Thursday night. We are looking at 3 to 10 inches.:( I am tired of shoveling and using the snowblower!!!

P.S. Snow in Texas...so much for global warming, eh?;)

lol snow storm... with all the snow ive been experiancing (2 feet and its not going away :) 10 feet mounds at every corner) I was expecting a snow storm. Thats like, a dusting. But, being in texas for 7 years I know what its like to have it there :) But I know for a FACT we had a much bigger snow"storm" when I was there.

Dont get it into your heads that THAT is snow, it isnt. Its just a lot of ice and sleet. Wait until you experiance real snow :)

well i cant speak for havoc and the austinites but up here it was not snow but ice. the bed of my truck had 2 inches this morining. i dont care if your santa, 2 inches of ice will make you reconsider going outside.

when i was a wee little boy my family moved to the 'burbs of cleveland. i dont remember much (thankfully) but i do remember the huge snow drifts after the city plow would clear the street every morning. i also remember when we moved back to texas my dad forgot to sell his snowblower. that was fun to try to sell in texas. :)

Havoc meant for the thread to be a joke and poke fun at the fact that Texas doesn't receive snow like other places.

In all fairness it doesn't generally snow in Texas much. It just ices, and cities shut down for ice. Tho it did snow for real when I was about 5.

However it usually snows here in the panhandel, but not this year! It's freaking cold and all the snow is missing us here in Lubbock. GRrrrrrrr!!!!

Havoc enjoy your ice pellets.;)
