Just so People who never knew Him will get an understanding of the Type of Guy Ron was. He alway's reserved two serial numbers, for His AutoMag's {333 and 666} It is Quite in Ron's style too Pass Away on 03/03/03 #333.
I'm Sure He's Up There Grinning, and saying "I Got My Number!"
We will Miss You Deeply Ron.

Ron was a cool guy. I've known him since 1994 when I worked with him at my second tourney ever. He could be a bit grumpy at times, but then again who isn't after putting in your 100th safety of the day.

He wil be missed.

Yes I've known Ron since 1989 {Geeze I Rode back from IAO "92" With him!} Like You Said Who would'nt Be Grumpy
after Replacing They're 100th Safety Today. He Never Replaced Mine!! Because He Knew Why I Took it Out!!
In the past Year, Year and a Half, Ron Sold all of His #666
Gun's, and alot of stuff that AO'ers will only find in Tom's Attic. He Became Involved in Cowboy Action Shooting.
But He Alway's Kept His #333 AutoMag's!
I Think it is Fitting That Ron Passed on the day that He Did, He Would Have Liked It That Way!
;)

I didn't know he sold all of his 666's. Wow. I knew he was into cowboy shooting, I even did it for awhile. Hope those guns are in good hands now.

Yeap, seems fitting that he passed on 3.3.03.

Yep! Brad
He Sold all of the 666 Gun's, But Only to Worthy Recipient's
But He Kept All the 333 Gun's. I was Amazed at how this hit Me, When I Heard that Ron Had Gone, I Cried for Much Longer than I Ever expected I would.
My God I Still am Crying as I type this! He Was My Friend!

Ron was a great guy and my first friend in paintball. Since 95 he came out fossil hunting every year and we enjoyed many days in the field together. He knew his heart problems would get the best of him eventually but he always lived life to the fullest.

Below is a pic of him climbing to the highest peak in the area we go to in Wyoming. It took him three nitro tablets to get to the top but he was determined to get his pic taken on the point of that hill.

Keep climbing those hills Ron, you will be missed.

And you all are right. He did get his number. Heh, He's probably getting a good laugh out of that.

He was always at Paintball Sam's big games ready and willing to help anyone with a Mag. He has helped my friends and I on countless occasions over the last decade that we have been heading down there. He will be missed by all.

RIP. It sounds like he accomplished a lot in life. He was probably one of those people who set a goal and didn't give up until it was finished. If no one minds me asking, how old was he when he passed?

I've known Ron since his first day of paintball at Sam's (about 15 years ago) and he's been a good friend to me and a real godsend to Mag owners in need of advice over the years. I'll miss him.

Ron was a great man with a lot of very intersting stories to tell about paintball, fosil hunting, cowboy shooting and many other subjects. I've always enjoyed lending him an ear whenever I ran into him at the field. He will be missed.

I'm Josh Fieldhack, Ron's youngest son. I've been out to Sam's many years ago and may have met some of you. I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words and warm sentiments. I would especially like to thank Tom K for speaking at my father's funeral today. It was very moving for our family to hear such great things about our father. He told the story of Ron climbing the hill now known as 'Ron's Peak'. (Thanks for posting the pic to match the story.) It is very comforting knowing Ron was liked and respected by so many. Ron was 66 years old.

Rest In Peace Dad

Ron was a unique person. I played ball with him on the first 10 man team WI had. he all ways had something new to sell when he came out to the field. We gave him the Nik name mR hanny from the show Green Acres. The peddler that all ways had a wagon full of stuff. that was Ron. But all his stuff was cool. The last thing he got me was a sleeping bag he picked up at a rummage sale. The neat part was it was from WW11 and it went through Europe on the back of one of our soldiers. Thanks Ron
some day I will see you on the other side in Heaven
RIP:)
