WOW. That thing looks great man. I think the only thing that I'd change is have the front extend a little farther forward so that it goes at least to the front of a standard rail and then just cut an angle on the front the front like the no rises. Other than that if I had the cash I'd pick one up. Probably one of the nicer custom bodies I've seen.

Any idea how much they cost? Also, standard Minimag parts would work right. I want to replace my minimag body with it.

Looks are at the top of my list, as good as the x-mag.
Almost makes me wanna switch from my warp feed setup.

almost. ;)

Seriously, it made me think for a sec about changing to vert feed. 10 seconds later, 'NAAAH.'

Hmm, are there any plans in the works for a rail to be milled to complement the Chord body? I definitely want one of the Chord bodies, but I'm gonna have to wait until I get the money (and another classic, ReTro, or X valve). A complementary rail would be the icing on the cake, though. :)

About your own gripframe conversion- How does that work? Obvsiously it appears to be a body rail, and frame all in one, but is there any special tricks or mods you did to make it function better?

Very NICE!

Folks please confine the actualy buying and selling to the Dealers forum though. Ask details on prices and ordering them there.

Thanks...

Is there any chance you'll put a second ball detent on the left hand side? When using a Halo I'd be afraid of double feeding.

Very nice work Colin. How many hours does it take to mill something like that, and I was just wondering how your tournament situation was working out. Take care bud.

Any idea yet how the bodies that extend over the valve are going to look yet? Just curious to see if you gotten any ideas of how you are going to have them looking,

yes there is rail milling in the works, as well as work on the material overhanging the valve.

sorry to dig up an oldie nicad, but is that a race frame?

nicad
07-13-2004, 10:38 PM
wow yeah pretty old! :)

that was a triggerframe I made from scratch.. its an electro-pneumatic, optical trigger, and has a good ol mech backup. It has the rail integrated into the grip (as opposed having the rail integrad into the body, ala Micro mags and Xmags).. Its 3/4" shorter than other mag grips (CL of barrel to bottm of grip frame) and I moved the grip forward in relation to the rest of the gun.

The funny part is, YES I modeled the outline of the majority of it after a Race grip.. and used a Racegrip triggergard.

I still have it around here somewhere... I'm boycotting electros tho. :)
