View Full Version : CO2 Tank Leaking

I just bought a new PMI CO2 Tank with a Smart Parts on-off and anti-siphon. The tank holds pressure fine when the valve is off, but as soon as I turn the gas on, it leaks around the C-clip opposite the knob. I turn the gas off and the leak slows until the gun is almost degassed.

I bought this tank from action village, and would rather fix it myself if possible rather than send it back.

Thanks

sounds liek the on-off has a bad o-ring. you could emtpy the tank and then take the on-off apart. but its new, I would get a new one.

I had that EXACT problem, with the EXACT tank. But I think it was because it was like 40 Degrees out.

Its definitely not 40 degrees out. More like 75! I'll try changing the O-ring. Do I get to it by removing the c-clip, or do I have to take the valve off of the tank?

I've never taken one of those apart. but I would suspect taht if you take that c-clip off, the on-off will slide right out. just make sure the tank is complettely empty.

Replaced the O-ring and it works fine. That c-clip was a buggar to get off of the valve.
