Hey Day, look on the bright side, you can still own a marker without a license in NJ.

ogre55

Technically.....yes. And before this gets out of hand, I am still in the process of acquiring one. Once I have completed this proceedure, I will post how to get one online.

I'm happy to see some New Yorkers in here!!!!!!!:D

I was born and raised in Sunset Park, but now I reside in Ridgewood Queens right on the borderline of Bushwick/BKLYN. I'm surprised this forum isn't pack with mag owners from NYC or paintballers alike... What's the deal!!!

We need to get New York mag owners together for a scenario. That would be nice!

While it's not in NY, August 2 will be the 3rd NJ AO Day. It's usually in Northern or Central Jersey. I went to the last one and it rocked seriously.

We can do an NY vs. NJ, if we get enough New Yorkers out there. :D

Ogre

Dayspring
06-06-2003, 12:49 PM
Come get some. :D

I'm just worried about you New Yorkers bringing REAL guns. ;)

(And yes, NJ AO Day 3 WILL rock. Jon from AGD and Bea Youngs are planned to be in attendance as well as a few more surprises. :))

Clockwork_Orange

Hey Govnamac:

If you and the rest of the organizers are ok with some sort of NY vs. NJ Shootout as one of the "events" the day, how about having people who pre-reg also post their affiliation and have some sort of a micro-tounry. Say, 5, 7 or 10 man, depending on the amount of willing participants, and a best of 5, or best of 7, format to decide the winner. No points, just a fun rec tourny, for the thrill of it.

Ogre

Sign me up for that.

ogre55

It's just a suggestion. We have yet to hear anything from the organizers.

Speaking of NJ AO Day, are you going to bring that Bushmaster you used to have in your sig? I would love to see it. I'll be bringing some of my stock and pump guns, for some woodsball fun later in the day...maybe.

Damn, now that I think about it, I am gonna be hauling a mess o' guns with me to this thing.

Let's see:

E-Blade Cocker
X-Mag
RT Classic
2 Phantom VSC's
Apex Elite

AAARRGG...I'll need extra space in my car for all this stuff.

Ogre

Vendetta

The Bushmaster goes with me wherever I go.:)

I would play with it more, but the barrel's bore is very large. Most of the field paint I've had to use rolls right out of the barrel.

ogre55
07-15-2003, 09:28 AM
Is the bushmaster a unibody, or is the barrel removable? I think I remember that there were some Bushmasters built with removable barrels.

Ogre

Vendetta
07-15-2003, 09:34 AM
The barrel is removeable. I should get some barrels made for it.

ogre55

Check some of the online retailers. They may have some old ones lying around. You can also check other forums. I woould suggest, pumpplayers.com but they seem to be down and have been for the last week. It is one of my favorite forums, as I am mostly playing pump and stock this season and in the forseeable future. What a waste of an X-Mag, I have had it for more than two weeks but have yet to put paint through it.

And before anyone gets on me to "put it to some good use", I would like to qoute the irreverant and always pertinent Daffy Duck: "It's mine, you understand?!?! Go! GO! Mine! Mine!!".

I'm not sure but I think that Icon / Mega Z barrells will fit an old Bushmaster.

Both of them used the thumbscrew to tension the barrell and hold it in place.

This is the same as the F1 Illustrator? My brother had one. You're right, those barrels were interchangeable.

Actually, Dayspring tried to horn in on our action way back in the thread, but he's all the way in NJ, so at least you're closer.

I'll ask around on some other boards and get back with a more definative answer.

I go to school in White Plains does that count for anything?

ogre55
07-27-2003, 09:57 AM
While I started this thread, I am not the sole arbiter of just what qualifies one to be an NYC AOer, so I would ask the rest of my bretheran from the five borough to chime in, when one asks if being on LI, in NJ or White Plains enough.

So what of it? Chime in fellow denizens for the city that never sleeps.

No way on Long Island. White Plains and Yonkers gets close only because they also pay a city income tax.:p

Well I have the answer and it is Yes. So if you want to pick up some barrels Vandetta, you could probably get some Z-1/MegaZ barrels and go nuts.

If you drive a car more than moving it from one side of the street to the other, then you are NOT a New Yorker.:D

I'm not sure I can argue with that definition.:p My road is not even paved. But there was this one time in band camp.....oh wait...thats another story.:D

Its not even close to Christmas yet.:D That place is full of teenieboppers. I'm too much of an old fart to go there unless I have to. Of course it was only like 10 yrs. ago I would get thrown out for making fun of the rent-a-cops.:p

I was born and raised in DA Bronx, and now reside in Queens, because my fiance made me! Oh boy I am getting old! We should try ot make a NYC team. Ogre, ho's that license coming along. I have been trying to figure otu NYC laws for a while now pertaining to PB guns. I want to open a field and know that there will be tons of obstacles. Oh well, ups for NYC.

ogre55
08-11-2003, 07:41 PM
I'm afraid the license thing is dead in the water. After some more research, I have found out that th license is only for dealers and only if they sell in state to someone who is out of state.

So congrats all my fellow NYC 'ballers, we are all criminals.

GRRR!

I don't even own a car anymore. The only time I do get to drive is when I move one of Perfect Tommy's cars to the other side of the street.

As of today everyone in New York will be able to see the planet Mars until the end of September. It's the brightest star in the sky...can't miss it! Check it out and enjoy!;) :)
