does anyone have any advice on which harness i should buy? i am going to be shooting a lot in some games, and a little in others, and i want a good, tough, AND IT CANT MOVE AROUND!! i play woodsball mostly so it cannot move around becaus i gotta stay quiet, but i play speedball too and i dont want the falling out of popping open when i slide into a bunker! im looking at 2 packs that look very nice right now: the mantis gear 3+2, and the JT universale pack. the mantis gear pack looks very nice and compact, and it looks like a solid, very promising pack. but the JT universal is a very good concept, becuase you can add/remove sleeves that hold tubes to your desire. i can play with 2 tubes in woodsball, and with 7 on a speedball course. it looks like a great idea, but it can easily be messed up, and i can see tubes popping out whil i take a dive or run fast because they arent being held in very securely. but i could be wrong. anyone use these packs, and what do you think of them? im open to other packs, and tell me your experiences with those too

Kevin - I've told you before, and I'll tell you again, Redz. I'd go 4.3 Dimension, and medium belt, if you're the same size since the last time I've seen you. It's a little pricey, but well worth it. I got mine for $45 shipped, iirc. They don't bounce around or anything. Quality construction, too. Besides, if later you want a different pack, you just need to buy a new one for $20-25, you already have the belt.

I have a Mantis 3+2. Identical to the Redz pack but a little cheaper. Doesn't move a bit. I suggest getting 145rnd tubes for it.

I have a Redz 5.4, a little more than I need, but you can never have to much paint :) I'll probably pick up another 3.2 and switch them back and forth when needed.

Derman2k, i was going to get the ronin 3+2, and i ordered it, but PBgear, being the morons they are, screwed up my order and i never got it, so thats out of the question

I gotta go with the overwhelming majority and say redz
my redz 4.3 is just about the best pack I have ever owned some packs I have owned either did not conform to shape (so it'd hang off) or would be too rigid (restricts movement in tight spots).

I too recoment the m packs, they are superb cuality. and just a little tip, don't get a bigger pack than what you can shot. meaning whats the point of getting a pack with 18 tubes if you can only shot 14. later AZZKIKR

I too will vouch for any reds pack that uses teh comfort belts. they are very sturdy, very comfortable, and dont move around at all. yeah 5 horizontal and 2 vertical pods is a bit much for me, but im lazy and its nice to fill teh pack up once and not have to bother with filling it up again till teh end of the day:D

I've got the 4 horiz m-pack and love it.

theres plenty for you to choose from.

Nice wide/thick belts so they don't scrunch up/move on you.

I'll second that!

I used to use a redz but I found out about the M Pack at Mardi Gras 2002 and couldn't go back. :p

They are extremely comfortable, well made, and don't slide or move.

I highly recommend the M pack.

I love my extreme rage bullet paq! I used to have a redz 4.3 and 2.1 and liked them but felt that the belt was too large and constrictive. After switching packs (due to our ER sponsor), I found out that I preferred the bullet paq better. It's comfortable, doesn't move around, and the belt isn't as large.

I say Mantis 3+2; I love mine. Never moves or makes noise (as long as your pods are filled so the paint won't bounce).

I love my JT Universal Pack, very nicely padded and very comfy. You can also set how many pods you want to carry:cool:

Man I know I sound like every other average joe on here, but Capo is right on the Extreme Rage. I use a 4/3 bullet paq and love the thing. It rocks. I also used to have a redz 4/3 dimension, but hated how my dunlap disease sorta kept bending the belt over. But with the ER packs, and the belt being smaller they rock.

I have a Redz Demension 3.2 I love it..it's very comfortable, easy to maintain, and I can access my pods quickly in a game.

i had a JT speed pod pack...it shredded almost immediately with the stiches pulling thru the neophrene, then an ER 4+3...then went to a redz set-up. i like the redz better imo it has a better belt and is made of heavier fabric...the flaps keep their shape and dont crinkle up like the ER did. plus i have one belt and 3+2, 4+3, and 5+4 packs. i like the flexibility to switch them out depending on what I'm playing. I bought the new JT pack and found that without anything to hold the pods in you will loose half your pods just running around the field after you have pulled the first one out and the tension isnt there anymore. good idea being modular...but little rubber grippers or something like that would have been a good idea. and if you tighten it down enough to keep the pods from falling out you cant get them out when you need them. ER Ok, could be better, Redz....great, JT good idea bad implementation.
