What output pressure gives the best results for sweetspotting an RT or X valve? The higher the better, right?

Just remember- "sweetspotting" is technically a malfunction of the gun. It can damage the sear, bolt and trigger rod.

Are we sure you want to do this?

i think he means what should he put his tank out put at for the best ..output on the gun, and that'd be about 850psi...

Actually, he WAS asking what the best "sweetspot" pressure was. So I was correct. :p

Thanks guys. I know that sweetspotting is a "malfunction", and could possibly present some problems, but its not something I plan on doing a lot. I will not play that way, I might just do it a few times for friends, etc. It would be nice to see what an x-valve is really capable of:) Thanks pzyco, that is what I meant.

You were correct about the sweetspotting dayspring, but you didn't answer the question about the psi going to the valve;p

And in actuallity, you need to run higher than 850 in. ;)

850 is most preset tanks and they don't give enough umph.

900-950.

Not true, you don't need high input into the marker to make it sweetspot, I only run 700psi into my RT and it sweet spots all day long.

High input pressure equals higher variation between shots over the chrono, the more you put in, the worse the RT becomes for consistancy.

Keeping the marker clean and well oiled and having your trigger rod set to the right length are more important then the input pressure for sweet spotting.
