I love my DYE barrels and just never got used to my Freak system. Therefore I sold it. I am curious if anyone has had a chance to use the new DYE two piece Ultralite or BS with the interchangeable tips and backs. Any feedback on them would be greatly appreciated.

from what I have been told by people at Dye is that the boomsticks are 2-piece "ScrewSticks" now...but they won't sell you different backs or tips. I don't know why but they just told me no on about a dozen different occassions. If anyone else has been able to get them to sell you different tips and backs please tell me I can argue with them again.

I find it funny that it used to say on website that boomsticks were so accurate because they were glued together unlike the competition which just screws together...

They seem to have changed their mind.

just like how smart parts advertised "closed bolt, for better accuracy and range" about their shocker and when they released teh impy "open bolt, for for more consistnat shot placement"

oh well

actually there is an artical in a magazine(cant remember which i will try to find) but they found a new way for them to screw together. dye even says in the artical that they would rather have them glued but its all about customer demand.

It was PGI,Febuary issue, page number 52.

He said he developed a method of screwing barrels together without deteriorating the threads. He uses compound threads so the barrel aligns perfectly each time. Or so he says.

Oooooh $10! Off to buy shrinkwrap. I thought the material in it was a bit dated. According to them Rocky, is staying with Avalanche;)

I bet I know what happened. Your issue, my january issue, was the first issue in my subscription. Mine didnt come until feb, but when i called PGI, they said their Jan issue was very late, it should arrive soon. About two days after it came, a Feb issue came. I wonder if the latest Jan issues to go out (like yours) just got sent as Feb. So Load, will all your issues be one month behind? Do you get a subscription? It might be worth calling them. Dont wanna be out dated. :p

for them to make there jan issue a feb it would be very difficult and very expensive. since all the mags are printed at the same time it would have to go back to press and reprinted.

its more likly that when the printers where running this form(jan issue) that the black plate was made wrong and had the wrong month on it, then it was caught mid run buy some sharp eyed printer, and then changed to jan.

that or im retarded?
:D

Well then maybe aliens came down, snatched all the copies outta the Rag shop you bought it from, followed you around for two weeks tracking your every move. Then when they saw you heading to the shop, they assimilated the guy behind the counter. Now he was in on the plot as well. Unsuspecting, you, Load, bought that altered copy. Printer mistake? Yeah like thats logical  Jeez, some people tell the most rediculous stories.
