1024×768 32bit works really well for browsing AO!

anything lower than 1600x1200x32 looks bloated and makes my eyes hurt now.

you're not alone syn. If my Trinitron went higher than 1600x1200, i'd be there. (I used to run 1280x1024 on a 15" monitor at work :D)

Only the imaging machines get more than 1280. My monitor at home will do 1600x1200, but it's only a 17.

www.deviantart.com - i just mirrored it and added a darker area to the top and bottom so my icons show up better.

Well actually, its not 'crazy.' If you have a small monitor, yes, it can be hard on the eyes. But with a 19"+ monitor, its all a matter of fitting more onto that extra space. Thats why I use a 21" monitor.

(Also, if anyone is looking to upgrade their monitor - I'd say www.ubid.com is a great place. I got my Sony Trinitron monitor for 295. Factory refurbish, everything was essentially brand new as far as I can tell. Works better than the other identical Trinitron that came with our server.)

Higher resolutions, 10x7 and up, works better for 17" and up. I'm using 11x8 on my 17" and it looks great. On my Dell laptop, I think I'm using 16x12 with a 15" screen and NVidia GeForce2 GO. Other resolutions just looks odd for it.
