Doc, if your dog is hyper, name him doc. Dog On Crack. I named my dog Doc. Maxx is always a popular name.

Yeah he's a pup, here's a picture I just took of him asleep next to my mag... what a great dog! My girlfriend has a min-pin and her name is jessie... she wants me to name him woodie... from toy story, his gilfriend was jessie...

Name him Cat. Drive the neighborhood kids crazy. Yell "Here Cat!" and have the dog come running. :D

Arizona is a cool name. I'm surprised the classic "DeeOhGee" hasn't come up (it spells out dog.) But to me that's sort of cheesy anyway.

Or pick someone you hate and name him that, so you can blame him for things he does when the dog is bad (stolen from a comedian on comedy central).

WOW hes beautiful my lab of 16 years died last year, he was a chocolate,Man I want another one,probly a yellow, mabey this spring.

name him munchie. sorry about your dog silenttype, I know its hard to have a dog die or have to get rid of them. I've had both happen :(

apollo is a cool name too, I forgot about that.
I had a rotweiler named apollo. It's kinda wierd though because wasn't apollo the got of poetry and song... just doesn't go with a boxer or a rottweiler i don't think. but it does sound cool.

If you go with Mythology, go with the dogs ancestory and go with Norse Myth. The dog will be happier that way. But by far the best name is noah.

Hey folks thanks for all the great suggestions, I really wanted to call him snowball but against my wishes the girlfriend thought Arizona was a perfect fit. He's going to get pretty big, I'll post more pictures as he grows... on a great note, He's not gun shy, I shot the Mag out side and he hung out by my side... maybe he'll be a good hunting dog (his feet are webbed for swimming!) Note 2: last night was the first at his new home and he didn't crap on the carpet!! In fact I took him out when I got up this morning and he went 1 and 2 OUTSIDE :D :D I was stoaked!!

reading this just made me realize that my dog (black lab/english bulldog mix= hyper/stupid) is not sitting by my side as usual, which probably means hes sleeping on my dads leather couch:mad: have to go pry him off it.... again!

Yes it is a cool name. I have a bigger dog now (part bull-mastiff, part french mastiff) and her name is katie :) Don't ask why but katie suits her.

I still think munchie is cool;).

Some friends of mine have a cute but beastly American Bulldog who goes by the name of Abbot. I think that's how you spell it.

it works well, when its a puppy:
Come over here Abbot. Abbbbot, here cutie.

When its big:
AB-OT! GET OFF OF ME! MY WINDPIPE! AHHHhhhhhhhhhhhh

Arizona is the name, eating my left out paintballs was the game... well atleast today he got into them... shame on me for leaving them low enough for him to knock the box over and and tear into a bag... he only managed to break three and didn't eat any of the filling.. *whew* that was close!
