Ok, word to the wise, i think i burned out my ace board on my sfl... Tom is this going to cost me? I was working on my sfl last night playing with trigger magnets, with the switch on the e-mag in the off posistion, yet the battery still attached. I went to place the board back and screw it in when i saw a lil spark, smelled a lik burnt stuff, and saw a lil "light" in my ace.
Now, the thing is, while playing with trigger configurations, it helps to have the battery one so i can hear the solenoid click, and so i can make adjustments. I have not noticed that the ace actually burned out or not, as it will still fire with the ace on, but, i dont have air or paint to test this stuff. I tried adjusting ace, but i kept hearing the solenoid click, no matter how i turned it. IM wondering, Is the ace covered without having to drill a hole? If not, how much for a new one?
I dont see as i am at fault for this, i mean, there were no instrustions to ever disconnect the battery, especially with the switch off.....
Yes, when i did go to put the board back in, i switched it off, it was olny on for the trigger work.
This is also for all of you x-mag folks etc. Always use the key to disconect the battery when replacing the ace board.
Please help!

It's ok. You have your 4 stars on your valve correct? Well, I fried my board and solenoid a few months ago, AGD replaced for free; no need to make up excuses. ;)

dude, thats the truth.... also, id rather not punch my valve, as it can lower resale value, even tho i dont plan on ever reselling her

rule #1 working with electronics....disconnect ALL power sources before doing anything.
Pretty sure your gonna have to ship her off

well, i cant do that for another 3 months so....
Why don't you wait 'till you get some air & paint before you get yourself all worked up ;)
...and if you DID fry the ACE, sorry man, that sucks!

Cant you use manual mode
It's a bummer to have stuff go bonkers. Heck, I should know!
Maybe the evil mojo that has haunted my paintball purchase history is leaving me, and possessing another poor soul
E-Mags don't have stars on the valve (well, mine doesn't) I don't know about SFL's, though. Just call AGD tomorrow, and see what's up. Tom & crew are really good about things like that. :)

I'll tell ya what. Why don't I give you a brand new spyder compact, and you give me your broken SFL? Just to make it even though, you may have to throw in your hpa. Sounds good to me (j/k).
In all honesty, that sucks. Hope you fix it soon.

all e-mags, x-mags, RTP's, and retro/x-valves have 2 invisible stars, agd will just drill a hole in the side after you use one of the two up... and loosing $50 off resale on the valve for a $200 board is definetely worth it!
btw... what is the point of ACE when you have LX?

Oph no, it still fires in ace mode, which is capped at 24 bps, just the ace doesnt work at all...
IM not drilling a star, thats for sure, It shouldnt be more than 40 bux at most, its just the ace, not the PCB board.
Id call tom, but if you noticed, in in chile, so i wrote JJ the tech guy and im sure he will help me out.... >I may have to bribe him, but he will help me ;)
