View Full Version : Battery Pack milling on the X-mag

I did a search and found the older threads with the prototype pics of battery pack milling designs for the X-mags.

Although I couldn't find it, I think I remember a poll run by Tom in regards to which milling design we wanted to see incorporated into production on the x-mags.

Furthermore, I thought I remember a design being decided on, and Somthing being said along the lines of "this will go onto the production models, but probably not for the first batch or 2".

Well, here's my question: What's the word on this? Currently we are in production of batch #3, and I have no reason to believe that the battery packs are milled on these markers. I asked Jon about this today, and he said that he had no information on this either. . .

Will the x-mags be comming with milled battery packs any time soon?

Will Tom fill us in?

Will I ever get Mine!??

Stay tuned for all the answers! (I hope)

Next batch all have milled battery packs. Might be a price increase though. I saw the first offs today and had to send them back. They need to make new fixtures to get it perfect.

Any chance to get just the milled cases for other SFL/E/X/mag owners?

I would like to know that about the Xmag owners....also, are there any pics of the milled battery cases?

Wow, thanks for the quick response, Tom.

That's exactly what I was wondering. So it looks like mine will have a milled pack (im not in this batch, Maybe the next one. . . )

Slight price increase is fine- - -I understand how costly milling can get.

Thanks again,

Carl

OMG.....that is dead SEXY. I hope that is the milled batt. case Tom is refering to. Maybe I will wait a little longer. Matching annoed valve and milled case.....what else is next? This is great.

For sfl'ers, alot of us have already thought about getting ptp battery packs, then annoing them to match, but it wouldnt really match, so we thought, why dont we re anno our markers completely?

tom said this is risky, but it can be done, but if we mess something up, its our fault!

Tom???
Ammoed valves and milled batt packs...what else is in store for the xmag? WIll this complete the cosmetic changes?

I got my emag cuz the wait time was too long for an xmag 6 months ago. I guess I will wait just a little longer.
