My first post in this forum. Ive been interested in mags since I first got into paintball(4 years ago) and I am wondering what mag to purchase. My choice is between the 68 and the minimag. I am right-handed, so of course Ill be shooting mainly out of the right side. I play back player, and I will probably have about $325 to spend. Any suggestions????

Definitely check around for used stuff... if it were up to ME, I'd try to go with a mini, simply because my friend (FalconGuy016) has one and it's really nice. But as long as it's a mag, you really can't go wrong!!

Welcome to AO!
If you are right handed and will be shooting out of the right side of the bunker, get a hopper left mag.
I personally would not get a mini mag, because the only diffrences between the two, is the mini has a barrel shroud, more service stars, and comes with an ASA.
I would get a TKO mag from http://www.paintballgear.net (actually, I DID get one, christmas of 2001.. ;)) because that comes with pretty much everything you need. After that, save for the Level 10 kit. Trust me, you wont regret it.

yea i agree with personman. The tko is good price. Also i would sort of look around the used forum for a good setup with nitro and stuff with it. After you get the mag you WILL want the lvl 10

if you dont NEED to buy your gun and you can still get more money, if i were you id save up about $500 and buy a whole setup. for $500 i got a really (REALLY) nice automag RT, and an adjustable tank. but if not, just keep an eye out in the classifieds for good deals

A Minimag is functionally equivolent to a regular mag. The difference is the minimag body, vert ASA, and some minor things. May want to take that into consideration.

Brak, wheres a good place to buy a setup like you suggested? Also does anyone know a place that has a wide selection(and good price) on some upgrades? I hate Actionvillage, but if I have to I might resort to buying a TKO. Im really interested in The RT, but all I can find is the RT Pro.

You want the RT Pro only because it has an upgrade path that the RT original does not.

RT Original was designed differently. The RT Pro can use most, if not all, the current upgrades. RT just can't.

Yup... the RT Pro has long since replaced the original RT. There are minor differences, but otherwise functionally equivolent. The RTP also comes with a stock Intelliframe, and an X-Valve with Level 10 (So long as you don't receive old stock).
