Timmys are produced by Bob Long. They are called really called Intimidators but everyone calls them timmys for short.
They are uber sexy guns, that can really rip, I own 2.

Why do people call them spyder clones? Same valve?

because the first timmys were actually made from extruded Bob Long Millenium Bodies...essentially a Bob Long modified Spyder Body..and the action of a Timmy is just a modified spyder..much like most guns out there..but at least it's not a sear tripper..

When I hear...
"Cockers shoot flatter than xxx gun..." I think of this
When I hear...
"Mags don't have any distance and are blenders..." I think of this
When I hear...
"Angels are fast, but have arcing trajectories..." I think of this
When I hear...
"Timmy's are nothing more than spider clones..." I think of this
All are stupid statements made by ignorant fools atempting to knock down the merit, reputation, and respect of any brand of marker that they don't currently own.

The internals of an Intimidator are NOT spyder based. They are based off the Bushmaster, in fact, the first gen timmy really was a bushmaster shoehorned into a Spyder.
The First Gen Timmy's were made from modified Millenium bodies, which are a direct replacement for spyder bodies, except for being vert feed and cocker threaded. Now, while the share the same basic extrusion, they have nothing else in common (The extrision is just a set of stacked tubes, the milling is totally seperate for Timmy's now).

I think the timmy is spyder based, I think the electro pneumatics however are not. I can stick many of the parts of my timmy into my friends spyder, I could turn it into a timmy if I wanted to mill it.

Hey, did someone call me? :D
I've shot a Timmy before, and I've shot a Spyder before. I feel confident enough to say that while the valve is in the same place, and it has the same number of tubes in the body, the Timmy is not a clone. It does not have a spring driven hammer, or a sear, and does not force the hammer back by venting air from the valve.

the only annoying thing about them, is that they are all the same internally, just the external milling and grip frames are the biggest difference.

WRONG! um internally? does the timmy use a spring cocking ram? NO with that quote you could say that a tippy is a spyder clone, after all, since it uses a spring loaded ram to actuate the gun. or that an impy is a spyder clone, since after all the ram uses a spring to propel it back. i think the impy, defiant, bko, are more spyder clones than a timmy, they all use springs for teh ram, the timmy does not
