I'm trying to put the hammer on my impulse back on my ram and i needed red loctite but my local hardware store was out. So i bought "thread locker red" automotive grade thread lock.

I was wondering if that would be a good enough substitute? I need to send out my impulse tomorrow so that i can get it before next friday (paying for overnight shipping both ways) for my tourney.

It says the break/prevail torque is 230/225 lbs. respectively. Is that similar to red Loctite?

Also, is this red loctite that u use?: http://www.loctite.com/catalog/product.html?ProductLine=290+++++++++++++++++

thanks!
