Im sorry but I think the pics aren't doing it justice:( I guess its just not my cup of tea:confused: It reminds me of the chimera, just with a better color scheme. Its just too rigid, too many rough angles, but very chrome(a + in my book). I like things more flowing, and smooth, to each their own I guess.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!

That is absolutly the best Slugo I've seen on this board. I love the angles and cuts. I never was interested in the sluggo before this, AND it goes over the Valve! GREAT JOB!!

I really can't get over how much I LOVE that Body!

Ok, few questions. Price? Availability? Is there a limited production or is there a mass quanity? Will they work on E-mags?

Thas all I got, But it looks great. I didn't like the pictures of it when it was just a cad drawing but now that I see the reall thing I'm impressed.

Later,

Riotz

I believe around $200. (for the sluggo)
Mass Production, 1-2 weeks. Depends on Anno.
Yes, they will work on E-mags.

When seeing it the blue grip and rail, it didn't look in place, however the all chrome pics.... wow, AMAZING. It's seriously beautiful, and I look forward to getting my hands on one eventually....

Reminds me of the Dye Cocker btw, maybe it's just the lack of forgrip and the sightrail...

The feed tube will be a low-rise o-ringed version that will be specially produced by NW Paintball exclusively for PBX. Better loader retension without the potential of cracking the shell like the clamping feed tubes that's become the rage for a lot of other markers. Thanks Nicky!

The colors that will be immediately available are polished black, blue and red. Pewter is being worked on and other custom anodized versions are available on a pre-order basis (deposit required).

We will be coming out with a custom e-Mag using the body and equipped with either a DYE Excel (std.) or a Powerlyte Scepter (special order). And yes, the X-Valve will be matched-anodized as well. Thanks Tom!

AND LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST, a Warp Left body will also be available at around the same time as the vertical feed version. Due to the costs and delays attributable to re-programming the machines, no Warp Right bodies will not be available until the demand justifies the cost (my apologies to the lefty AOers out there).....btw, you don't need to notch your rail to accomodate the warp hose.

Prices given to date on these bodies are not firm. We are still conducting tests as to which detents to use and as such may impact the pricing. We're trying to sort out the superior ones regardless of price so I humbly request your patience on this matter.

I would like to end this post with a comment that I would have written as a response to the question posted in that PB Nation thread..... IT ISN'T 1991, IT'S 2003. AND WE HAVEN'T BEEN NUMBER ONE IN A LONG TIME. NUMBER ONE ISN'T OUR END-ALL AND BE-ALL GOAL....IT'S OUR DESTINATION. SO EITHER GET ON THE FREIGHT TRAIN OR GET ROLLED! BTW TIMMY SHOOTER, WIPE THE PAINT OFF YOUR GOGGLES, PLEEEEEZ;)

I just got home from the PBX store as I was there from 4pm till 10pm today. These bodies are HOT HOT HOT..... pics of them are hot, but in person they are even hotter. I'm almost jealous of them and I have an SFL. These bodies are Light, and just plain gorgeous as I got to handle one.

Great Job PBX and TUNA

i wants ta see it on an e-mag and mabey with a freak barrel?

Cristobal
04-03-2003, 10:45 AM
Yes, Yes, Yes! Way to go guys! I'm liking the way it looks -- a definite departure from the "tube" style (although, for me there are so many cuts on it, that I think I might like the looks better once some annodizing softens the shine out and allows for some shadow-play)

Oh, and though everyone here on AO knows what a "slug" body is, it might not be the best marketing word for everybody else in the world. "Custom Automag Body" might work just as well.

Nice work yall, finaly cocker barrel threading outta the box, for Mag. Anyway, Howbout one milled kinda like an X mag? I mean not exactly, but similar to it, with the flowing lines and such and the cutaway valve portion. Im pretty sure that would be a very hot seller. Do you have a schedule of when youll be producing dust/beadblasted finishes?

I personally don't find it too appealing, it looks unfinished and like dansim said, no flow at all. Nice attempt though.

i think there are too many cuts and it looks ugly. but a nice job milling none the less. all that money into the gun and the hose is covered in what looks like electrical tape? why?

It is so the stainless steel hose doesn't scratch the anno of the battery pack.

Dayspring
04-07-2003, 02:07 PM
That's Riotz's valve & hose. It's just for show. And you cover stainless steel so you don't scratch the body.

As for the body styling- to each their own. If I didn't have an Xmag, this would be going on top. Although, my Emag might get it. Who knows.
