first, the question. could I put ring connectors on the battery leads and be able to connect those straigh into the gun? ring connectors are the ones that can have a screw through them to bolt them down, like the red battery lead coming from the PC board.

crap, i gotta go. pics later.

Here's a dumb question. Will these fit in the standard Emag battery pack housing?

yes, they will fit. they might wiggle though.

that wont matter though...

Im sure you can get somekind of foam. Like that thick yellow foam (for beds) or even some of that bubble wrap. Folt it accordingly and stick it in the sides or tops to prevent it from moving.

actually, i may have a better solution. DataPimp and i will probably be making new housings for the smaller battery.

i could redesign the battery and have it fit fine if i needed to. :)

oh a slimer lighter battery pack would be sexy, i dont like this big one thats on e-mags now. is that pack accually lighter than the stock e-mag battery?

yep, its about 40% lighter, coming in at about 96 grams compared to the 168 (plus connector) of the stock battery.

If you guys are working on a new battery pack, see if you can eliminate the yellow plug, that might boost interest.

fine, here is what we are looking at doing.

LIGHTER - we want it to be somewhere around half the wieght (at least i do)

more ergonomic - make it a nice foregrip.

integrated charge jack - i dont want it to have to come off to be charged.

on/off switch - uh, yeah.

Sounds good to me:)

What's the expected loss in charge life?

Try and work a deal with AGD to get some of the tops to the Battery packs, I know you should be able to get them, that way you can just drop the battery in with some orings to take out the wiggle.

ps - show a pic of your battery and a stock emag battery for size.

the capacity will be roughly 57% of the stock battery. that should be PLENTY.

Rob: right now, the type of connector we will be using is up in the air, but it will probably be some sort of 9V snap or R/C connector. I am planning on making some per order that will have the stock connector though. I still have to talk with AGD about that.
