Sydarms for Sale from AGD?

AO,

We have about 25-30 Sydarms that came back from our military distributor. We are considering selling them WITHOUT warrantees of ANY KIND. They would be about 325 dollars. I am trying to see how many people would be interested.

They are used, some are refurbished and those would sell for 350.

Whadya think?

These are hardly what you would call used. They were demos used by the salesmen to sell plastic pepperballs. They have never seen real paintball action.

Yes the price is high but its higher on Ebay.

absolutely! i just paid $1250 for an sfl...so whats another $350. ive got 3 mags now in less than 6 months after seeing the light...so why not pick up the last piece of the full set. ive become a full blown "mag hag".

The oring he is talking about is between the two halves of the body (the upper tube which hold the paint and 12gram, and the lower tube which is the barrel and reg). The problem is that if this oring goes bad it starts to leak something terrible. At the SC AO Meet I offtered Tom $250 to replace this pring for me and he turned it down. My guess this is the reason he is offering them with no warranty. I am sending my gun down to Brad this week to see if he can fix the problem, but we'll see how it goes.

I get around enough to meet at an event. BUT Gadget is near to where AGDE are... so you could just get Tom (or one of the very lovely AGD Office Ladies :) ) to ship them to AGDE with the next batch of stuff... Gadget can pick his up locally, and I can get mine shipped from AGDE or grab them from Sosta or Bonich at the next event we both attend...

So it's the o-ring that seals the 12 gram's co2 and the body so the gas finds its way into the valve, eh?

Is the problem simply that you cant get the 2 body sections apart, or the o-ring itself is impossible to find in the right size? If 30 more AOers all of a sudden have sydarms something tells me the problem will get a tidbit easier to solve.... we have a few smart folks on here. Sad to say I aint one of 'em, but we do have a few! I'm smart enough to know that :D

Sydarm bodys are not compatable with anythign but the sydarm valve. So unless oyou're taking of mounting the sydarm valve and body... and getting vertical feed barrels... you're going to be in for a nasty suprise.

tom, let me be the first to say, i am quite dissapointed. The sad thing is, that this dealer, wil probabally charge alot for these sydarms, and not the 325 you offered them to us at.

That bothers me, because, well there was the oppertunity to sell some aoers, the most wanted agd marker(besides the x-mag) at a really good price. now, they will probabally cost about 500, and no one will want to get one, except those who can afford 500 on a sydarm. I dont know about some of you, but i sure as hell cant.

I was going to sell my phantom and everything for the sydarm.... now, id have to sell it, and wait about 5 months....

I can say I'm sort of glad. I wish Tom would take all Sydarms and lose them so that the one that I bought for $500 keeps it's value. This is sort of like having a Babe Ruth rookie card and then finding out that the card company is releasing 50 more at a rather cheap price. Drive the prices down. Not that I will ever sell my Sydarm, but the reason I was willing to pay $500 for one was because they are not readily available.;)

those 25-30 he had would be gone in a day and the demand would still probably warrant someone spending $500...

1. Can you get replacement/rebuild parts for the Sydarm from the automag parts kit or do you have to preform some sort of voodoo ritual for parts.

AND

2. What are the chances that AGD will make more Sydarms or a newer version? There seems to be TONS of interest in these things.

A new design would be more handy because those with the original Sydarms would still retain their collectable value.

How many people would buy a new version of the Sydarm if AGD made it... I know I would. <hint hint>

I was hoping/wishing that whatever dealer bought the Sydarms would be willing to sell them...which is why I why I was getting my CC ready.
Then when you posted that they were SOLD I thought you meant there was another post saying which dealer bought them.
