Im out of work, and I have an art degree.

So I made some rough sketchs of an Alien Mag.

(C) 2003 Bill Adams.

The front half has ridges like Detroits frame and the back part points. LIke that frame that has two points.

if you have alot of time on your hands, it might be cool to try some of those designs on a slug

it's wayy too extreme of a design imo. It looks nice and has flow but it's overly complicated.

I drew one for the dream-emag competition a year or so ago... I'm sure the entries were displayed on the frontpage... maybe they're still there.

pretty neat concepts , I always thought it would be neat to have an H.R.Giger style automag body .

for those who don't know who H.R.Giger is then go here

RRfireblade, if you looked closely, and read, he mentioned the different parts in the picture. the first half was detroits body, and the back half was depots. so he wasn't 'stealing' anything. he was showing his opinion on what might look like a cool body.

Hmm,
I guess I see know.In his original "sketch" it seams as though he was just using some of the styling pionts of the 2 in an original design. In the CG type mock up he simply cut the two in half and joined them together.Hardly anything requiring an "art degree".
