I would go with any type of kit, that way you can use any type of ball and still have a paint/bore match :).

Freaks are good, but many people on these forums are in love with the scepter kit.

i've got 11 different barrels, of which my favorites are 12" j&j ceramic, armson stealth 13", an old 7.5 inch armson pro series and an old j&j 10" stainless steel straight rifled.

alot depends on paint. going to an to an fpo field is alot like a box of chocolates.......you never know what you gonna get.

the best barrel is the one that fits the paint the best...

When I had my mag, I always liked my 10" boomstick. I played up front and my drop put all but an inch of my tank below my gun, it was really small and with the warp, nobody made a better front person gun.

I had a boomstick and it was alright but I have a SP now! I suggest SP! I am pretty happy with it and they aren't that expensive! A lot of barrels are almost the same so get a cheap one but not too cheap that it will be shiite!

did you boomstick have good accuracy even at longer distances? I've got a J&J now, and it's great for short distance shots, but alot of times i find myself shooting just out of it's range.

So what barrels have a good long distance accuracy?

Actual my boomstick was really good at close up battles but when I tried to hit a target a good distance away I would not have that much of a chance! I have the SP All American with freak front and I like it ! I have the 13" because all all american barrels are actually an inch longer than what you order!

god, the barrel doesnt effect distance... once a ball leves the end of the barrel (300 fps) it starts tro decelerate and 300fps is 300 fps... so... all balls go the same distance at the same speed

last i knew the pipe didn't come in mag twist lock. what are you shooting?

stealth 13" for distance shots. it holds the accuracy better i think.

i noticed the same thing w/ my boomy, less accuracy at distance.

i am currently shooting a unmilled slug body(o.t.v)with an x-valve & hyperframe(all so a pipe barrel system).i cant realy use my gun yet untill i get the body milled(no dents yet).but my friend has a new red agd ule with tear drop so i used his mag to test my barrel, and it shot great.all barrels shoot same dist.,but paint/barrel match is all that realy matters.but just for f.y.i. the pipe shoots darts long and far.but win you pay that much for a barrel kit it bettter shoot good.;) :)

I know that is doesn't effect distance but it certainly effects the accuracy !
