I just got the news that my wife passed the bar. If you are unaware - its like the most grueling, in humane test ever given to people. Pure hell for 2-3months worth of studying!

But she passed!

Now she can official practice law!

YAY!

Dmn she must be pretty smart or she just hits the books and goes crazy on them. Has to be a lot of both.

Glad to hear it!

Watch out of irbodden though...he might try to diss her by saying something like

"oh the bar? I heard that was almost as hard as the clown test"

Geez, I remember the bar. I passed Virginia in '95, and waived into DC after that (thank God). Once was enough.

And to pass on the first shot, after two years... serious studyin'. Congrats again, y'all should be proud.

(watch out, if she starts putting "Esq." after her name all the time, just remind her a J.D. is just trade school ...heh). ;)

I hope you made that up.:D I hope you did not shoot them with a p8ntball gun! We have time to hear the story if you did. Why did you shoot someone with your p8ntball gun?

Congratulations to your wife. Now, I got a question for her:

Is a degree required to be a lawyer? Or could a person just pass the bar exam and get a law license?

No, you have to go through college and get a degree.

Congrats! I know the feeling, my finace just passed Illinois. It's a brutal exam and she should be proud of herself. I took it in 1999 (passed) and I would never want to do it again.
