It is hard to tell how far it actually IS in the marker, honestly. I think it MAY be in there far enough to cause damage if it didn’t have some sort of anti-chop “thing” though. It would have been best if he first put his finger extended OUTSIDE the marker first so you can see how far it actually goes into it, then did the demonstration.

That being said, something like this would be much more impressive before everyone and their brother was coming out with anti-chop devices/systems. ;) It is like saying “Hey! My escort has ALBS!”…. well, don’t most cars now days? :D

if it was as clean as the LX, i would be impressed. however, it isnt. :)

Rainmakers for the most part are 'soft' on paint. The ram system comes with the 'newfangled' QEVs that cocker owners are just starting to discover. Rainmakers have had them for years. On another note RM's were the first gun to have a removeable breech.

I can't get the video to work so I don't know what you're all talking about, but I've put my finger in a stock cocker and fired several times without any damage.

People think I'm stupid for trying it but I think they're just scared. :D

Coolies, I always liked RM's.

as the other guy said.......rainmakers have always had the anti-chop ability. the ram just stops on paint if the bolt hits it. works really well actually.

only works when the gun is tuned properly thouhg, but it is not mid pressure like the autmag is, so it come forward with a good bit of force

and actually if you look he does have his finger in there, you can see his finger move

people at the RMOG diss me everytime i say this, but:
THE RM HAS NO ANTICHOP FEATURE that the Angel, bushy, impy, tribals dont have. Yes, you can set the LPR to ~60-70psi so it pinches balls, but no more or less than angels or COCKERS.

They will claim a properly set RM will chop less, but they dont. I can promice you that.

Two people here at Oswego use RMs.. yes they are friggin loud, its a trait of the breed. One of the the RMs I know was the Rainmaker of the month for March 2003 at RMOG. It will NOT hurt your finger at all, it is one of the most low pressure RMs around running at like 190psi. Very nice gun.

The other belongs to my hottie, used to be mine but I gave it to her (traded my minimag for it years ago). Nice RM, still stock save for new grips (will not be stock for long) :) Anyway, tonight I will do the carrot trick on a stock RM with nothing adjusted to see what happens.

I know RMs CAN be setup to do it, but I don't know if they COME able to do it.

Um... have you ever used a RM? The problems associated with them are similar to other autococking guns. Such as the valve stem or hammer face may wear over time, the link pin(??) (or cocking arm) could wear or break over time...

but these are over time issues. My RM is 4 years old.. well ok, its not my RM anymore. And it works flawlessly. I only had to replace the cupseal, and thats because it came defective.... and this was not a normal problem.

The biggest problem with RMs is everyone bashing on them just because of their maker, and these prejudgements are often not empiricaly based.
