Well my mag is a classic with intelliframe, and lvl 10. I was wondering if i should go ahead and buy a xvalve, or wait to see what this new light trigger thing tom is talking about.

Big decision unless you already have a ReTro valve. If you do, I say let the X-Valve go. If not, then kill two birds with one stone.

No i do not have retro already. I cant decide because if the trigger is that light you dont really need the retro valve. But also they dont know if the idea is going to be realesed or even if it works. So i dont know what to do. Unless cphillip wants to let go with some news.

What new "Light Trigger Thing"?

Where has he talked about it?

I did a search and didn't find anything

Some time ago tom took a poll to see if we wanted to have a lightened mechanical trigger pull, and it was overwhelming I think

id go with the XValve, you will be waiting about a year for the light trigger to be released, IF it ever does

yea i say xvalve... its worth it, but sell your old lx and get more money for the xvalve

I had hear Tom say in one of his periodic update posts that things had got in the way or something and that research has been halted temporarily on this lighter trigger. I'll try to find that post...

BTW, go with the X-valve...

Tom Kaye came into the IRC channel one night and asked if we would be interested in a light pull or a cheap electro option.

The vote was that the cheap electro option would be more popular.

The die-hard maggers would buy either. I think he had problems getting the performance he demands with a low cost electro frame so he probably decided to do the ultra-light trigger.

ok this is the big question, thats been going around the local forum. Ive droped my original bolt inside a spool and the field so no longer have it. do i have to have the original bolt and power tube internals to trade my valve in?

no just the complete VALVE

I thought the big issue with speed on a Classic valve had to do with the recharge rate of the valve itself. From what I have seen around the forums Classics will only run around 6BPS w/o modifications.Right?
The next question would be that if you get a trigger that will cycle the valve faster , how do you get the airflow to keep up?
