I have a question about the 18" Freak fronts. I know all the stuff about barrels not being any better after 12-14 or so inches and that 18 inch barrels are bad cause they give too much friction, but in a Freak would there be that problem since its such a bigger bore size? I already have a 14 inch but I want one of the 18's cause, well, I dunno I just do. So does the 18 inches do anything to the barrel or does it just get in the way more? Thanks

MOST barrels have a bore size in the first 6" or so. I think tome once posted that after the first 6-8" you could use a cardboard tube and get similar results from most ported barrel fronts... :)

The tips are typically a rather large bore on MOST barrels, not just the Freaks. So it would offer the same pluses and minuses as other barrels of similar lenght (porting aside).

I keep an 18 around for one reason only, pushing in air bunkers.
