either type of tip, it all depends on looks. As for length I prefer a 10" barrel.

All American is two piece. Pretty sure the teardrop isn't, but I'm not positive. I've always liked the 14 inch old style AA. Good barrel.

keep in mind there is like 2-4" of porting on these things...10" would leave you with 6"-8" of effective barrel

Go with a freak and you can have both and good paint/barrel matches. It cost a little more, but I have a mag freak with a 14" AA front for playing in the back, and a 10" TD front for playing up front. :)

I use a Teardrop, 12" which is fine for any position and the thing is $50 or less, All Americans go for way more. It sounds like you're just starting out (no offense meant, just kind of explains how you'd probably want to spend) and they both have the same bore, made by same company, and besides the two-part thing the same quality and all. I'd go Teardrop for a while and then if you want to put some serious money into a barrel get the Freak Kit.

If the Mag in the picture is your current one, and you don't have a good barrel yet, get a 12" teardrop and save the $50 on it and put it towards a ULE body. You could maybe sell the old body and break almost even. Cocker-threaded ULE Mags just rock, I'm using it now and smoke more people on the field than ever. Diving with elbows that you need with Powerfeeds SUCKS! Hoppers go flying off, the elbow breaks, and they stick out too much.

My two cents.... keep the change!

14 good all around for air ball or 12 for hyperball
