Hey...how about adding a tweaking/modding forums on here? Like pbn's Voided Warrenty. I'm a tinkerer, and I go to pbn to talk about tinkering, but I like the people here a lot more. Anyone agree? If not, I shall shut up. :D

I'd be up for it, but not sure how much general demand there'd be. You're probably looking at Deep Blue level of interest.

I'm up for it. I think it would be cool to have somewhere to post the little things we do to our markers to make them specail:D . anyone else? later AZZKIKR

I don't think that'd be an issue really. I have an impy that I've had pulled apart since I've gotten it. I'm dying to start screwing with it...... oooh and I still have to mod my warp and stuff as well.....

Oh heck yeah! I just realized that if we have a tinkering forum then I have NO reason to go on PBN anymore! Just here, warpig, and doc's.

I like the idea! Right now tinkering stuff gets kinda split between tech, deep blue and talk. It would be nice to have dedicated place for it.

LOL - That's great!

I've got a couple ideas buzzing around in my head that a new tinkering forum would be perfect for... though more likely involving fun with a bridgeport rather than a dremel ;)

Oh yes...and I've seen Rob's Dremeling first hand...but gotta love the philosophy behind it:)

In any case, its a great idea, the ONLY thing I think there would need to be is strict moderation of the forums, so that you don't get newbie posters going there filling the whole place with how they cut their trigger guard or asking if they can file down thier on/off pin. It would be a great place to learn, and definitely encourage others to work on their experiments.

I'm all for it...

(I have pictures in my mine of that one super ghetto warp rig with the 10 inches of pvc pipe...anyone remember that picture? That was great:D )

Alright, let's get this thing going!

I think a lot of people are ready for a techy place to share information without troubleshooting (Tech Forum) or getting too theoretical (Deep Blue).

"return authorization"
"@$&*$!"
"awe dang"
"were gonna need another timmy"
"if it's not broken, fix that"
"no user serviceable parts inside"

and my fav:

"a dremel and a dream"

Carpecerevisi
05-09-2003, 01:17 AM
I like the dremel ones...
Duct Tape and Dremels
and
A Dremel and a Dream

But Return Authorization is hella funny, but it makes no sense...cause yer warrenty is usually voided...

Maybe something to do with Teflon Tape? I have like 7 yards of it on me rtpro...

Or maybe something giving me full credit...lol...I dunno...my head hurts...time for bed soon...

whoo hoo! tinkerers forum! And mabye Tom can show us some pics of his in development products like the super light trigger like he used to do with the prototype lab. Ive got some mods to do when i get my warp. Do you have any idea how hard it is to intellifeed a classic frame? not easy. anyways my fully auto mod for my gun needs to be tested so i can see how fast the classic really can shoot.

Great Idea for a new forum. I would suggest creating the forum first and then name it a week or so later. I like the dremel name but wouldn't fit if most of the topics dont involve a dremel. just my 2 cents.

yes a tinkerers forum would be perfect .. looking forward to the vote on the name ..

i'm hoping you come out with the new trigger mod drop in replacement soon .. i know it's not bullet proof (from your post) .. but is there any way you could get it out quick .. I dun care if it's hard to install .. that makes it all the more fun to install!!!

:D

Ah well .. i know you'll get it out when you do .. I just WANT IT SO BADLY :p

oh yes .. that's right, this is about the forum name eheh ..yeah, ummmmmmmmm

looking over the choices again...this time not being half asleep
i think "if it's not broken, fix it"
is the best one
it's funny, simple, and states the whole idea of the tinkerer's forum

btw the "return authorization" one works...warranty or not sometimes you just gotta send it in to have 'em fix what you um "fixed" :D

loving the idea of a tinkerers forum.

how about "dremmeling for fun n' profit"?

or a twist on the junkyard wars...."bodgers breakroom"?

i also like the shadetree idea. like " the shadetree airsmith" maybe??

Good list, I saw throw out Tinkerer's Guild as that name is in use, magmods for being to specific, combine whoops! and oops! to one choice. Throw the rest up on a poll and lets give say till sunday for voting.
